River Indie Electric Scooter
Bangalore-based startup River Electric officially launched its highly anticipated electric River Indie in February 2023. It had initiated pre-bookings back then with a booking amount of Rs 1,250 and had promised to commence deliveries from August 2023.
Delivery Begins
Today on 24th August, River Electric rolled out its very first Indie from their production line at its Factory in Hoskote, Bengaluru. fulfilling the promise made to its customers.
In the upcoming months, it is anticipated that the company will deliver more scooters and keep up with its customer faith.
Price
The River Indie is available at an introductory price of Rs 1.25 lakh* (ex-showroom, Bengaluru).
Color Options
It is available in three color options: Monsoon Blue, Summer Red, and Spring Yellow.
Motor and Battery
The River Indie is powered by a mid-mounted motor linked to a belt drive. It generates a peak power of 6.7 kW and a maximum torque of 26 nm torque. The motor is linked to a 4kWh lithium-ion battery.
Top Speed and Range
It has a claimed top speed of 90kmph and can accelerate from 0 to 40 km per hour in 3.9 seconds. The e-scooter gets three riding modes: Eco, Ride, and Rush. Indie Offers a claimed real-world range of 120km. The battery takes five hours to charge from 0 to 80% using a standard charger.
Features
It features twin LED headlights, LED taillights as well as LED indicators. It gets an LCD instrument cluster, a massive LED-lit 43-litre underseat storage along with a 12-liter lockable glove box with a USB charging port. It also has an additional USB port on the handlebar. Other features include a pair of rider footpegs, crash bars integrated into the apron, saddle stays, raised clip-on handlebars, hazard lights, and a side stand motor cut-off function.
