OSM Stream City
New Delhi-based sustainable transport developer Omega Seiki Mobility launched an electric three-wheeler, OSM Stream City, for the city roads on Tuesday. The Company has today launched two variants of OSM Stream City- OSM Stream City ATR which comes with a Swappable battery priced at INR 1.85 Lakhs (ex-showroom) and Stream City 8.5 which comes with a fixed battery priced at INR 3.01 Lakhs (ex-showroom). The two variants in the passenger transport segment offer zero-emission driving experience with little noise and vibration from the engine.
Known for developing sleek, green vehicles, Omega Seiki Mobility started with the development of electronic vehicles in the cargo ferrying sector. They have now ventured into the urban passenger segment with their latest launch.
OSM Stream City has two variants – Stream City ATR, with a swappable battery feature, and Stream City 8.5 with a fixed battery. The company has developed the swappable battery concept in association with Bengaluru-based EV aggregator, Sun Mobility, providing a quick interchange station to swap batteries. This promises increased mileage for the vehicles and added efficiency for the customers.
Uday Narang, Founder and Chairman of Omega Seiki Mobility was present at the event and shared the company’s plans to expand in the e-rickshaw market of the country. He said, “Continuous innovation has always been a priority for OSM, and the company works to maintain its product range one step ahead of the competition. While we started with cargo vehicles this launch is in line with our strategy of providing a complete 3W solution covering both cargo as well as passenger segments. This year, our emphasise mobility are Passenger Vehicles and The OSM Stream City is a result of Omega Seiki Mobility strong commitment towards the same. OSM has increased its production five times and has plans to sell over 10,000 electric 3Ws in FY24.

The electric three-wheelers come with an easy charging point, complete with a 6.3kWh battery pack that generates 12.7 hp and 430 Nm of peak torque. OSM Stream City can run up to 80 kilometers on a single charge while OSM Stream City 8.5 can cover a distance of up to 117 kilometers. With swappable battery technology, the company claims to increase this distance, benefitting the drivers.

OSM’s latest launch is a 3+1 (driver) seating setup variant for the urban market. It already offers the OSM Stream variant to the rural market. OSM Stream City is priced at Rs.1.85 lakh (ex-showroom) while Stream City 8.5 is priced at Rs.3.01 lakh (ex-showroom). The electric vehicle manufacturer has a network of 175 dealerships across India and has also partnered with several banks including Indian Bank, Union Bank, IDFC First, etc. for easier vehicle retail finance.
