In a Groundbreaking event Mercedes Benz India today launched its most anticipated electric SUV -the Mercedes Benz EQE 500 Electric SUV in India at an introductory price of 1.39 Crores.
Santosh Iyer, MD and CEO of Mercedes Benz India talked about the new Customer Experience Center moving away from large showrooms to boutique outlets. One to be launched today in Vadodara. Santosh Iyer says soon you will be able to come to the new customer experience center at the plant in Pune, configure and book your car, visit the plant, and drive on the off-road track. This will be done with partner Ritz Carlton.
The Company announced that it has opened all its fast chargers in the country to all brands. That certainly helps accelerate the adoption of EVs across the country. 140 charging stations in India.
Look and Design
The Mercedes EQE SUV maintains the sleek lines and precise body curves of the brand’s other electric vehicles. Aerodynamic wheels and a front grille that is sealed off are practical design elements that are carried over from other electric vehicles.
The EQE SUV has air suspension and 20-inch wheels, which may boost the SUV’s ride height by 25 mm. The EQE SUV is a big car with dimensions of 4,863 mm in length, 1,685 mm in height, and 3,030 mm in wheelbase.
Features
The 56-inch Hyperscreen display from the brand is standard equipment inside the EQE 500 SUV. On the dashboard, there are three screens that are joined together by a thick piece of toughened glass. As with the passenger display and the central infotainment unit, the screens can be utilized for entertainment as well as information presentation in the case of the digital instruments panel.
The EQE has amenities like ADAS, a Burmester sound system with 15 speakers, a cabin-wide high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter, and front seat massaging features.

Specifications
The dual motor, all-wheel drive configuration, and off-road package are standard on the Mercedes EQE 500 SUV. The SUV is equipped with a 90.56kWh battery that can support up to 170kW of DC fast charging and has a claimed WLTP range of 550km. The SUV boasts a top speed of 210 km/h and a stated 0-100 kph acceleration time of 4.9 seconds thanks to its 408 horsepower and 858 Nm of torque.
