Ahead of its official unveiling, the Ather Rizta electric scooter has been spotted without camouflage, offering a comprehensive look at its design and features. As the second model line by Ather after the 450 series, the Rizta, set for launch on April 6, targets family-oriented consumers seeking a spacious and comfortable ride. The latest images depict a larger build compared to the sleek 450 models, emphasizing enhanced footboard room and a notably expanded seat length, suggesting a focus on rider comfort and passenger convenience

 Key Features and Expected Specifications

Diverging from the sportier aesthetics of the 450 range, the Ather Rizta showcases rounded design elements with softer shapes, akin to the TVS iQube. Noteworthy features include potential dual-tone paint options, a large-sized seat with an integrated pillion grab handle, and a 7.0-inch touchscreen digital dashboard reminiscent of the 450X. Equipped with a mid-drive motor, the Rizta is anticipated to offer a lower peak power output compared to the 450X and may exclude the ‘Warp’ ride mode.  Ather Rizta is also anticipated to feature an increased under-seat storage compartment, enhancing its practicality for daily use.

Rizta to use same battery pack as the 450 Scooter series

Ather has revealed that the upcoming Rizta electric scooter will share its battery pack with the existing 450 series. However, the exact capacity of the battery is yet to be disclosed by the company. Ather’s 450 series currently offers two battery capacities: 2.9kWh and 3.7kWh. It remains uncertain which of these capacities will be integrated into the Rizta scooter.

According to various sources, Ather Rizta is expected to be priced between Rs. 1.25 – 1.45 lakh[Ex-showroom]. Once launched it is said to rival TVS iQube scooters.
