MG Motors is all set to launch its latest electric vehicle in India – the Comet EV. The company has released yet another teaser of the vehicle, providing us with a glimpse of its dashboard. The Indonesian-spec version of the Comet EV, known as the Wuling Air, comes with two battery pack options: 17.3kWh and 26.7kWh. The smaller pack offers a range of up to 200km, while the bigger unit delivers up to 300km. It remains to be seen which battery option will make it to the Indian version of the Comet EV.

According to reports, this EV is expected to be priced between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom). This will put it in direct competition with other popular electric hatchbacks such as the Citroen eC3 and Tata Tiago EV.

Recently MG Motor India has joined hands with Naman Mathur, a gamer, to create a unique special edition of its MG Comet EV aimed at young video game enthusiasts. The company has disclosed that Mathur has played a vital role in developing the design for both the interior and exterior of the electric vehicle.

Production

The production of MG Comet has started in a Gujarat plant near Halol and from this unit, you can expect freshly baked MG Comet units in the future.
