Telangana government, led by Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu, is actively engaged in discussions with Tesla to facilitate the establishment of a new electric car manufacturing plant within the state’s borders. Since December 2023, the government has intensified its efforts to attract major investments from global corporations, with Tesla being a key focus. Minister Babu emphasized the government’s commitment to pursuing significant investment opportunities and highlighted Tesla’s planned initiatives in India as a priority for the state.

Focus on Investment Opportunities:

Amidst the government’s proactive approach to economic development, Tesla’s potential investment in India has become a focal point. The Telangana government is diligently tracking Tesla’s investment plans and is keen on ensuring that the state provides an attractive environment for the company’s expansion. Telangana aims to position itself as a preferred destination for cutting-edge technology and innovation in the electric vehicle sector by actively engaging with Tesla and demonstrating its commitment to facilitating investment.

“We have been studying and tracking Tesla’s planned investment initiatives in India. We have been making all out efforts to bring Tesla to Telangana for some time… Our team is continuing the dialogue and discussions with Tesla by putting in all efforts for Tesla to establish their plant in Telangana,” he said. Telangana with its Industry friendly policy, is working with a progressive and futuristic vision by creating a world class Infrastructure and hassle-free permissions system to enable best-in-class companies like Tesla to do business in Telangana, he added.
