Hyundai Motor India Ltd has presented the 1,100th unit of its all electric IONIQ 5 to none other than the Bollywood Megastar, King Khan as a token of gratitude and to commemorate his association with the brand. He has been associated with the Korean carmaker as its brand ambassador for more than 25 years now. The flagship electric SUV was launched in India in January at the Auto Expo 2023 by Shah Rukh Khan himself.
The IONIQ 5 is Hyundai’s current flagship offering in the Indian market. It is priced at Rs. 45.95 Lakh. It has already crossed the sales mark of 1,000 units last week itself and now, the brand has gifted the 1,100th unit to SRK.

The EV has a 72.6 kWh battery pack which provides a maximum range of 631 km on a single full charge. It has a single rear mounted electric motor which gives out a maximum power of 214 hp and a peak torque of 350 nm. It also has a 150 kW DC fast charger that can charge the battery from 0 to 80 percent in just 21 minutes while a 50 kW charger would take an hour in doing the same.
The IONIQ 5 is equipped with features like a 12.3 inch touchscreen infotainment system, a same sized instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charger, ventilated seats system, heads up display, dual zone climate control, vehicle-to-load function, etc.
It is equipped with safety features including 6 airbags, electronic stability control, a 360 degree camera and advanced assistance systems. It also has Hyundai SmartSense ADAS Level 2 features like Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Collision Avoidance, Lane Follow Assist, Blind Spot View Monitor, Driver Attention Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, etc.
