Rugged Electric Bike is India’s first indigenously manufactured 3 kW hub motor and it can reach a top speed of 70 km/h. Rugged is the only bike in the world that allows battery switching without the user getting off of the bike.
Replaceable 2 x 2 kWh batteries charge in 3.5 hours and offer a range of 160 km. It has an anti-theft feature and 12 built-in smart sensors. With 4G, BLE CAN bus, GPS/IRNSS, 42 inputs/outputs, serial ports, and a comprehensive modular sensor suite, it uses the world’s most advanced 2W IoT system.
The bike has a storage capacity of 30 liters and its body is composed of cradle chassis and steel frame. Using the RUGGED APP, the user can unlock the bikes and drive them.
The company will manufacture This Electric Bike in Coimbatore, in conjunction with Boom Motors, and will be available in two versions: G1 and G1+, with costs ranging between Rs. 79,999 and Rs. 99,999. It comes with an incredible 7-year warranty on the chassis.
