Convert Two Wheeler Into Hybrid

Bangalore-based Green Tiger Mobility is the World’s 1st company to convert two-wheeler vehicles to run on both petrol & electric modes (Dual Powertrain). It has received ARAI & RTO approval to convert all major brands of scooters up to 125cc.

Green Tiger retrofits existing scooters (and motorcycles) to Dual Powertrain vehicles. The converted vehicles have both (existing) ICE powertrain and electric kit inside them. The rider can choose between the Electric & Petrol modes. The electric mode has a range of up to 60 km and a top speed of 60kmph. So finally now you can Convert Two Wheeler Into a Dual Powertrain.

Green Tiger Hybrid Scooters

Vehicles converted by Green Tiger are different from typical Dual Powertrain 2-wheelers as the ICE and Electric engines are independent of each other. If the vehicle breaks down in any 1 mode, the rider can easily switch to the other mode and continue the journey.

Dual Mode

The dual-mode function is very beneficial for people who ride a lot daily. Riding in electric mode with petrol as backup solves range anxiety which is a challenge with electric vehicles.

Electric Kit

The electric kit inside consists of various components as seen in the below image, of which the major components include a removable battery that can be charged at home, an IP67 Rated Hub Motor which is water & dust proof, and a VCU device that includes IoT & Sim which makes the vehicle smart and secure.

The company is currently converting 7 major brands of scooters, namely Honda Activa & Dio, Hero Maestro & Pleasure, TVS Wego & Jupiter, and Suzuki Access registered on or after 2012. Motorcycle conversion is in the testing stage and will launch later this year.

Price

The Dual Powertrain conversion is priced at ₹65,000 + tax which covers the cost of the electric kit, Battery, and the entire conversion process. The rider can save up to ₹65,000 every year on petrol costs if they run 35 km/day.

  1. Dumb creatures how can you justify 65000. I mean come on you need to price it around 25 – 30 k. 65 k will get you new ebike.

  2. Don’t waste money on conversion of old bike. For such high price 65k+. Instead buy new ebike extra at the budget that fits you

  3. You people don’t really understand the advantages of hybrid than any petrol or pure electric vehicles.

  4. For nearly abt 65k+ …add 20k more u get a ola s1 air with the range of 85 km per charge…
Green tiger….conversion in to hybrid that to only a range of 60 km….waste of money….

  5. What do you mean by AREA? Don’t u know that Motor Vehicle Act is applicable through out the country? Please do ur homework properly before giving this type of rubbish answers.

  6. 65000 plus tax is too much cost. Because company doesn’t have to spent anything on scooter body they just have to attach some parts to run with battery. And another thing after conversion I think scooter weight will be more than an electric scooter it may be cause for low range in single charge and low load capacity also. I don’t know will they consider?

  7. Those who can afford or can convert their own dad’s scooter or willing to keep it as a sentiment is worth the price affordable NO PROBLEM
I want my fascino to be converted to HYBRID COST PLZ

  8. The very idea of electric vehicle is waste of public money it benefits only the manufacturer, both are fooling the public and benefiting the corporate.

  9. The biggest plus will be you will never have range anxiety like with pure EVs. I liked the concept. On the flip side. I have few concerns.
    1. Will I loose bootspace?
    2. Reliability after conversion.
    3. Safety concerns regarding home charging of battery.
    4. Battery life and wear overtime.
    5. Rise in weight of the scooter.

  10. Any conversion to EV should think of kits in the range of 20K to 35K max. Then you have the value for conversion from petrol to electric…otherwise I would easily sell my existing for 20 to 25K and put additional to buy new one…with all the discounts and for another 15 yrs tension free
