The Hero Electric AE-3 electric tricycle was showcased at the Auto Expo 2020. It is the first of its kind from Hero Electric Bike and was introduced by Hero Electric to cater to Business-to-Business (B2B) transportation. Its price is expected to be around Rs 1.5 lakh.

The Hero Electric AE-3 electric tricycle, according to Hero Electric, has a 5.5kW electric motor and a 4kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The scooter is powered by a huge pulley and a belt drive. The Hero Electric AE-3 has a range of 100 kilometers and a top speed of 80 kilometers per hour. The battery pack takes five hours to fully charge.

The Hero Electric AE-3 trike has a gyroscope-enabled auto-balance park feature that keeps the scooter upright while it is stopped. A fully digital instrument cluster, mobile charging, walk assist, reverse assist (up to 26kmph), app connectivity with real-time tracking, and geofencing are among the other interesting features.

Two telescopic forks and a disc brake on each front wheel are standard on the AE-3 e-trike. It has a petal disc in the back and dual gas-charged shock absorbers. There is no competition in this class because it is the only scooter of its kind in the country.
