Ather 450 Apex Fastest Electric Scooter Launched

Share

Ather Energy has launched their latest electric scooter, the Ather 450 Apex today,   claiming the title of their fastest model to date. The distinguishing feature of this cutting-edge e-scooter is the introduction of the Warp+ mode, surpassing the already swift Warp mode found in the 450X. In terms of aesthetics, the Ather 450 Apex boasts distinctive stylistic elements that set it apart from the 450X and 450S models. These design differences enhance overall visual appeal, making the Ather 450 Apex a noteworthy addition to the electric scooter lineup. The scooter is launched as part of the commemoration of Ather Energy’s 10-year milestone celebration.

Let’s quickly have a look at some of the key specifications of Ather 450 Apex:

DESIGN AND LOOKS

Ather Energy proudly characterizes the Ather 450 Apex as the “pinnacle of performance and design.” Featuring a sleek design and bold new colors, the Apex introduces distinctive stylistic elements that set it apart from the 450X and 450S models. At first glance, the scooter exudes an attractive and captivating allure, showcasing a perfect blend of style and performance.

The Ather 450 Apex showcases a distinctive design palette with a body color in elegant blue, complemented by striking stark orange accents. The overall design is characterized by its clean lines, offering a visually appealing aesthetic. The material used for the body is tinted blue, contributing to its unique and modern look. Notably, the Ather 450 Apex proudly claims the title of being the world’s first scooter with a transparent body, adding a futuristic and groundbreaking element to its design.

FEATURES

The Ather 450 Apex introduces exciting new features, including the innovative Warp+ mode. This mode not only enhances performance but also brings a delightful redesign to the TFT display UI, creating a visually engaging ‘warp speed’ appearance. However, the standout feature on the Ather 450 Apex is the groundbreaking Magic Twist. Set to become a staple in the company’s upcoming models, Magic Twist introduces a regenerative function. By twisting the accelerator backward, riders can experience a progressive slowing down of the scooter, eventually bringing it to a complete halt. While regenerative functions exist in various electric two-wheelers in India, the Ather 450 Apex takes it to a new level of strength and effectiveness, setting a benchmark in the industry. With a 15-degree rotation of the accelerator, riders on the Ather 450 Apex experience a level of fine-tuned control over the regenerative braking system. This unique feature empowers riders to navigate most normal slowing-down scenarios without the need to engage the brakes, providing a seamless and intuitive riding experience.

PRICING

The Ather 450 Apex comes with an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.89 lakh. Considering additional on-road costs, which may vary based on state-level subsidies and other factors, the total on-road cost is estimated to be approximately Rs 30,000-40,000 higher than the top variant of the 450X. Its on- road price is 1,97,243. The Ather 450 Apex further enhances its appeal with a comprehensive warranty package. It includes a 5-year or 60,000-kilometre warranty for the battery, providing an assurance of long-term performance. Additionally, buyers will enjoy the convenience of complimentary Ather Connect for a period of 3 years.  The Ather 450 Apex includes essential accessories like a handcrafted helmet, TPMS for tire monitoring, and the Apex Delight Kit, enhancing the overall riding experience.

DELIVERY

The delivery of the Ather 450 Apex is set to commence in March 2024, and bookings are currently open for interested customers. To get a firsthand look at the scooter and explore its features, potential buyers can visit Ather showrooms in February.
