Creatara Mobility Pvt Ltd, a company based in New Delhi, has recently unveiled two electric scooter prototypes named VS4 and VM4. The company, founded in 2018 by IIT-Delhi graduates Vikas Gupta and Ringlarei Pamei, is gearing up to launch these Upcoming scooters in the market within the next six to nine months. The company mission is to provide electric two-wheelers that prioritize both safety and design, addressing initial concerns about safety and range anxiety associated with electric vehicles. According to Gupta, people were hesitant to adopt electric scooters, fearing they had less power and were low-speed vehicles.

The prototypes, VS4 and VM4, are claimed to have a top speed of 100 km per hour and a maximum range of 100 km on a full charge. The charging time is estimated to be between 4-5 hours. Notably, the scooters come with a portable battery pack, allowing users to remove and charge it conveniently at home or office. Creatara is also actively working on developing swappable batteries for these vehicles.

Customization for Safety and Performance: 

One of Creatara’s distinctive features is its emphasis on customization without compromising safety and performance. The scooters are built on a proprietary modular vehicle platform, enabling custom battery packs and top speeds tailored to individual use cases and preferences.

VM4: Tackling Tough Terrains:

Creatara’s VM4 variant, designed for rough terrains, boasts the ability to handle challenging landscapes without rollbacks. The prototypes have undergone rigorous testing in various conditions, including different terrains, heavy rain, and temperatures reaching up to 46 degrees Celsius.

Certification and Manufacturing Plans:

Currently in the process of obtaining certification from ARAI, Creatara plans to initiate contract manufacturing of these vehicles within the next six to nine months. While the prices for both models have not been disclosed, the company is engaged in discussions with component manufacturers to explore opportunities for cost reduction.

Conclusion

In recognition of its innovative efforts, Creatara won the Altair Start-up Challenge, focusing on optimizing structural components and major systems during the early phases of product design.
