The Company is all set to launch its most- awaited Electric Car the Creta EV on January 17, 2025. According to Tarun Garg, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Hyundai India, the Creta EV is set to be the company’s most affordable electric car in the country when it launches. 

January 2025 will see the inauguration of the Bharat Mobility Show, and as per the sources. The Creta EV will be showcased on the first day. The Hyundai Creta EV is expected to be priced at around Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).
This new electric version of the popular Creta SUV will maintain the overall design of its petrol model but bring unique EV features. With this launch, Hyundai aims to offer an exciting option for those looking to shift to electric mobility without compromising style and comfort.

2025 Hyundai Creta EV Design Elements

The Creta EV will look a lot like the existing ICE (petrol) Creta but with some noticeable updates. A blanked-off grille, redesigned bumpers, and aerodynamic 18-inch alloy wheels will give it a clean, futuristic look.

These changes help highlight its electric nature while retaining the bold and familiar Creta shape that Indian buyers love.

Comfortable and Tech-Loaded Interiors

Inside the Creta EV, the cabin will look familiar to its ICE counterpart but with a premium feel. It will feature a beige interior theme and a modern three-spoke steering wheel.

The 10.25-inch touchscreen will remain a key highlight, upgraded with EV-specific graphics for a smarter experience. 

Features like ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, and a Bose sound system ensure maximum comfort and entertainment on the go.

Hyundai Creta EV Battery, Range, and Performance

While Hyundai hasn’t revealed all the technical details, reports suggest the Creta EV will come with a 45-kWh battery pack and a 138-hp electric motor. It is expected to deliver a range of over 450 km on a single charge, making it a great option for city and highway driving.

Hyundai may also offer different battery options to suit various customer needs.

Safety and Smart Features

Safety is a big focus for the Creta EV. It will include Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), six airbags, ABS with EBD, and electronic stability control. Additional features like a 360-degree camera, parking sensors, and advanced braking systems will make the Creta EV safe and reliable for every journey.

2025 Hyundai Creta EV Price and Competition

The Creta EV is expected to be priced at around ₹20 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it in the mid-range electric SUV segment.

It will face competition from models like the Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV, Mahindra XUV400, and the upcoming Maruti eVX. With its smart pricing, stylish design, and strong features, the Creta EV seems ready to win over EV buyers in India.
