The automotive community has been buzzing about “Tata Curvv,” making it one of the most searched keywords recently. After recently unveiling the Tata Curvv EV, Tata Motors has officially launched its latest electric vehicle, the Tata Curvv EV at an introductory price of Rs. 17.49 lakh. 

This new model is impressive in design, performance, and additional features.

Tata Motors continues to dominate the electric vehicle market, with well-known models such as the Tata Nexon EV and Tata Punch EV.

Tata Curvv EV vs Tata Nexon EV – Looks and Design

Tata Curvv EV 

Tata Motors first unveiled the Curvv EV in April 2022, and it has evolved significantly from the initial concept. The front design now features a connected LED DRL, resembling the Nexon EV more than the original concept.

The rear design of the Tata Curvv EV draws inspiration from the Lamborghini Urus, giving it a distinctive and sporty look. The electric SUV is available in a very light shade of blue, reminiscent of the color showcased in the Curvv concept. 

Additionally, the charging port is centrally located in the front profile. The side profile closely mirrors the concept model, with a sloping roofline and a neatly placed spoiler.

The wheel arch cladding is finished in gloss black, and the primary change from the concept is the new alloy wheel design. At the rear, the Curvv EV sports a connected LED light bar.

It features flush door handles, 18-inch alloy wheels with aero inserts, and ample storage space in both the rear and front boots.

NEXON EV 

The  Tata Nexon EV showcases an exterior, characterized by sleek LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) seamlessly connected by an LED light bar. This modern design is further complemented by standard  R16 alloy wheels and updated LED tail lights, giving the vehicle a distinct and attractive appearance. 

When comparing the Tata Curvv EV and Tata Nexon EV in terms of design, both cars are visually appealing. The Curvv EV stands out with its sporty look, connected LED DRLs, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
The Nexon EV features sleek connected LED DRLs, R16 alloy wheels, and updated LED tail lights. While both designs are modern and attractive, the Curvv EV offers a more futuristic and distinctive appearance.

The interior of the Tata Curvv EV features a dashboard layout identical to that of the Nexon, with the highlight being a large floating touchscreen, the 12.3-inch unit same as offered on the top-spec   Nexon EV.

Below the infotainment unit are trapezoidal AC vents and a touch-based climate control panel, also seen on the Nexon.

A unique aspect is the four-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo and a two-tone finish reminiscent of the Harrier and Safari. It also has a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. Additionally, the dashboard trim has a silver textured pattern.

Tata Nexon EV 

The Tata Nexon EV offers an impressive visual experience with its 12.3-inch ultra-high-definition touchscreen infotainment system, the largest in its segment. This is enhanced by a premium in-cabin audio experience with Harman’s AudioworX and nine high-quality JBL speakers, featuring multiple customized audio modes.

Additionally, the Nexon EV includes a large 10.25-inch high-definition instrument cluster that is fully reconfigurable and offers multiple dial views.

Both the interiors of the Tata Curvv EV and Nexon EV are almost identical, featuring large 12.3-inch floating touchscreens and 10.25-inch digital instrument clusters. Both models offer a premium driving experience with similar dashboard layouts and high-quality audio systems, features, etc.  Overall, both interiors provide an exotic driving experience with only minor differences.

The Curvv EV also boasts faster acceleration, a larger battery pack, and quicker charging times thanks to its 70 kW DC fast charger. Overall, the Tata Curvv EV stands out with superior range, charging efficiency, and motor power, making it the better choice for those prioritizing these specifications.

The Curvv EV comes well-equipped with features that meet and exceed segment standards, including some firsts for its class. It offers leatherette seating, front seats with ventilation and six-way adjustability, and a rear seat that can recline in two stages.
It also includes front and rear 45W Type-C charging ports, connected car technology, the Arcade.EV app suite, a panoramic sunroof, and a powered tailgate with gesture control. Other highlights are 18-inch alloy wheels and flush door handles with puddle lamps. Top-spec versions also get a 320W 9-speaker JBL sound system.
On the safety front, the Curvv EV features six airbags, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, ABS with EBD, child seat anchors, a rEVerse camera, ESP, a driver drowsiness alert system, and LEVel 2 ADAS features. Additionally, it includes acoustic alerts to ensure pedestrian safety.

 

Tata Nexon EV 

The Tata Nexon EV comes packed with a range of impressive features. It includes a smart digital steering wheel that enhances driver control and convenience. Vehicle-to-vehicle charging adds flexibility, allowing the Nexon EV to charge other EVs in need.

The 12.3-inch infotainment system provides a cinematic visual experience, complemented by multiple voice assistants for hands-free operation.

The 9-speaker JBL cinematic sound system ensures an immersive audio experience, while the wireless charger adds convenience for keeping dEVices powered. Rain-sensing wipers and auto headlamps improve driving safety and comfort in varying weather conditions.

In terms of safety, the Tata Nexon EV is well-equipped with six airbags for comprehensive protection. It also features child safety locks, door alarm warnings, central locking, an anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), and an electronic stability program (ESP) to enhance vehicle control and safety.
