After generating significant buzz for its highly anticipated electric vehicle, Tata Motors has officially launched the Tata Curvv EV at an introductory price of 17.49 lakh.

Tata Curvv EV utilizes the same Acti.ev architecture used in Punch EV.  This new model stands out with its impressive design, performance, and features. Reports suggest that the Curvv EV will pose a strong challenge to the MG ZS EV.

Tata Curvv EV vs MG ZS EV – Design Cues

Tata Curvv EV

First revealed in April 2022, the Tata Curvv EV has undergone significant refinement since its initial concept.

The front design now includes a connected LED DRL, drawing more parallels to the Nexon EV than its original iteration. The rear of the Curvv EV is inspired by the Lamborghini Urus, imparting a sleek and sporty aesthetic.

Available in a pale blue reminiscent of the concept’s color, the electric SUV features a centrally positioned charging port. The side profile maintains the concept’s sloping roofline and well-integrated spoiler, while the wheel arches are adorned with gloss black cladding and new alloy wheels. 

At the rear, a connected LED light bar enhances its modern look. It features flush door handles, 18-inch alloy wheels with aero inserts, and ample storage space in both the rear and front boots. 

MG ZS EV Design

The MG ZS EV stands out with its dynamic lines and wide SUV stance, giving it a modern and striking appearance. Its bold design is highlighted by 17-inch Tomahawk alloy wheels and full LED Hawkeye headlamps, which enhance its road presence. At the rear, the ZS EV features full LED tail lamps, further emphasizing its distinctive look. 

Both the Tata Curvv EV and MG ZS EV impress with their distinctive and modern designs, capturing the attention of onlookers effortlessly. As mid-size electric SUV coupes, they excel in styling, combining sleek aesthetics with practical features to stand out in the competitive electric vehicle market.

Tata Curvv Ev vs MG ZS EV  – Interior

The Tata Curvv EV’s interior mirrors the Nexon’s design, featuring a prominent 12.3-inch floating touchscreen, similar to the top-tier Nexon EV model.

Below the screen are trapezoidal AC vents and a touch-sensitive climate control panel, consistent with the Nexon’s layout. The distinctive four-spoke steering wheel boasts an illuminated logo and a two-tone finish, echoing the style of the Harrier and Safari.

The cabin also includes a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a dashboard trim with a silver textured finish.  

MG ZS EV

The MG ZS EV offers a luxurious interior and comes in two color themes:

Dual Tone Iconic Ivory and Dark Grey. The cabin features a large 25.7 cm HD touchscreen infotainment system, providing all the necessary information and allowing easy control of vehicle settings. Additionally, the ZS EV is equipped with a fully digital instrument cluster, highlighted by a 17.78 cm LCD screen, enhancing the driving experience with its user-friendly interface.

In comparing the interiors, the Tata Curvv EV offers a spacious and high-tech cabin, ensuring a comfortable and modern driving experience. On the other hand, the MG ZS EV provides a larger touchscreen and instrument cluster, adding to its luxurious feel. The MG ZS EV Executive variant, with its higher top speed and more powerful motor, offers a more dynamic driving experience. Tata Curvv Ev

The Curvv EV is packed with features that set it apart in its segment, including several class-firsts. It boasts leatherette seats, ventilated front seats with six-way adjustability, and a rear seat that offers two-stage reclining.
The vehicle also includes 45W Type-C charging ports both in the front and rear, connected car technology, the Arcade.ev app suite, a panoramic sunroof, and a gesture-controlled powered tailgate. Top-spec versions also get a 320W 9-speaker JBL sound system.
Additional highlights are the 18-inch alloy wheels with aero inserts and flush door handles with puddle lamps.
For safety, the Curvv EV comes with six airbags, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, ABS with EBD, child seat anchors, a reverse camera, an electronic stability program (ESP), a driver drowsiness alert system, a blind spot monitor and Level 2  (ADAS) features.
Additionally, it includes acoustic alerts to ensure pedestrian safety.

MG ZS EV

The MG ZS EV’s safety features include six airbags (dual front, front-seat side-impact, and side-curtain), a 360-degree view camera with rear parking sensors, and Hill Descent Control to prevent rollback on slopes, ensuring a secure driving experience even in mountainous areas.

MG ZS EV is equipped with Level 2 autonomous ADAS features like Lane Departure Warning, Emergency Lane Keep, and Lane Keep Assist to maintain lane discipline.

The Speed Assist System monitors traffic signs to infer speed limits, alerting the driver to over-speeding and automatically adjusting the car’s speed in intelligent mode.

The Forward Collision Prevention system warns of potential collisions and applies autonomous braking if necessary. Adaptive Cruise Control manages acceleration and braking to maintain a safe distance from vehicles ahead while maintaining the desired speed. 

The MG ZS EV boasts over 75 connected car features.

More Features include a Digital Key for unlocking, starting, and driving the car. ZS EV offers superior navigation with AI-powered maps and an intelligent voice interaction system, allowing users to locate charging stations via voice commands.

The Panoramic Sky Roof provides extra light and fresh air, while rear AC vents enhance passenger comfort. Additional features include wireless phone charging and three distinct driving modes: Eco for maximizing range, Normal for balanced performance, and Sport for an exhilarating drive. 

In terms of features, the Tata Curvv EV excels with its luxurious leatherette seats, ventilated front seats, and a comprehensive suite of safety features including six airbags, ADAS Level 2, and a driver drowsiness alert system. The MG ZS EV stands out with its extensive connected car technology, 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS with advanced lane assistance, and adaptive cruise control.
