Simple ONE electric scooter was in the news after securing funding of 165 crores. It seems the company has utilized the funds to revamp the electric scooter for commercial purposes.
But there is a twist, the company has hiked the prices of the scooter and they will make it live by the end of April 2023.
Earlier, the prices of the scooter were somewhere around 1.09 lakh(Ex-showroom). However, with the commercial launch of the vehicle just around the corner, it is expected that the price will see an increase.
The company plans to begin deliveries in a phased manner, starting with Bengaluru and expanding to other cities in the coming months.
The Simple ONE electric scooter will be manufactured at the newly opened Simple Vision 1.0 plant located in Tamil Nadu.
Customers who had previously placed orders for the electric scooter are eagerly anticipating the delivery of their vehicles, but the company had to delay the delivery schedule due to supply chain disruptions and the need to comply with revised vehicle and component guidelines to ensure that the production model is free of errors.
The Simple ONE electric scooter has two variants, the standard version priced at Rs 1.09 lakh (ex-showroom) and the version with a removable battery priced at Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom).
It is expected that the prices will increase slightly after the commercial launch, with more details to be announced during the launch event.

The scooter is loaded with features, including LED headlamps, a 7-inch touchscreen instrument cluster with 4G connectivity, Bluetooth connectivity for music and calls, an onboard navigation system, different ride modes, and much more.
The color options available for the vehicle include Azzure Blue, Brazen Black, Grace White, and Namma Red.
