Ola S1 Pro Sport, Roadster X+ and Diamondhead

On August 15th, Ola Electric CEO Bhavish Aggarwal shared the company’s big vision, called “India Inside,” during its Sankalp 2025 event.

The focus was clear: build everything in India, with Indian technology, and make our country a global leader in clean energy and electric mobility.

Ola announced that it is working on a fully local supply chain, encompassing everything from batteries and motors to software and platforms. This will reduce imports and make India self-reliant in energy and EV technology.

Main highlights of this vision include:

  • 4680 Bharat Cell – Ola’s own Lithium-ion battery made in India.

  • Rare-earth-free Ferrite Motor – reduces dependency on foreign raw materials.

  • MoveOS 6 – Ola’s latest AI-based operating system.

  • Gen 4 EV Platform – light, fast and scalable for bikes, scooters, cars, three-wheelers, drones and even humanoid robots.

New Technologies on Display

At the event, Ola showcased:

  • 4680 Bharat Cell for high power and long range.

  • Ferrite Motor, the first of its kind in India.

  • Gen 4 Platform, which can be used across many types of vehicles.

  • MoveOS 6, which brings safety, ADAS features and a better user experience.


New Announcements at Ola Sankalp 2025 event

1. Diamondhead – Ola’s Futuristic Bike

  • Designed as a next-generation superbike where man and machine work together.

  • Aimed at being much more than just an electric bike.

  • Launch planned: 2027

  • Expected price: Under ₹5 lakh


2. S1 Pro Sport – New Sporty Electric Scooter

Ola S1 Pro Sport
  • A sportier version of the popular S1 Pro scooter.

  • Comes with gas-charged rear suspension, retuned front forks, ADAS features and carbon fibre detailing.

  • Deliveries start: January 2026

Ola S1 Pro Sport – Key Features

  • Slipstream Grab Handle – Sleek and aerodynamic rear grab handle design.

  • 14-inch Front Wheel – A Larger wheel for better stability and handling.

  • Precision Mirrors – Stylish and well-aligned mirrors for improved visibility.

  • ADAS Camera – Advanced camera support for Assisted Driving and safety features.

  • Sculpted Seat – Sporty and comfortable seat design for better ergonomics.

  • Gas-Charged Rear Suspension – Enhanced ride comfort and performance handling.

  • 16 kW Motor – High-performance motor for powerful acceleration and top speed.


3. Roadster X+ (9.1kWh) and S1 Pro+ with Bharat Cell

 

  • Both will run on Ola’s new 4680 Bharat Cell.

  • This will give a better range and stronger performance.

  • Deliveries start: Navratri 2025


What It Means for India

Through Sankalp 2025, Ola has shown that it wants India to be a leader in EV and energy technology, not just a user. By making batteries, motors and software in India, Ola is moving towards complete energy independence and boosting the country’s EV ecosystem.
