Ola Electric to soon start manufacturing electric motorcycles says CEO Bhavish Aggarwal Ola Electric Motorcycle Manufacturing to Begin Soon, Says CEO Bhavish Aggarwal https://e-vehicleinfo.com/ola-electric-motorcycle-manufacturing-to-begin-soon/Following its August debut, Ola Electric’s Roadster motorcycle is nearing production, with CEO Bhavish Aggarwal sharing updates about the company’s progress.

The flagship Roadster, along with three additional motorcycle models, represents Ola’s bold entry into India’s competitive electric motorcycle market.

With production gearing up at its Futurefactory, Ola aims to make its Roadster line widely available and meet rising consumer demand in the EV space.

Scaling Up Production at Ola’s Gigafactory

The Roadster motorcycles will be produced at Ola’s new Gigafactory, which is nearing operational status. The facility is expected to boost production significantly, enabling Ola to keep pace with demand while laying the groundwork for future expansion in the EV market.

This factory represents a crucial element in Ola’s strategic growth, allowing for quicker scalability across its electric two-wheeler range.

Varied Roadster Variants and Price Points

The Roadster lineup is diverse, offering three models—Roadster X, Roadster, and Roadster Pro—to appeal to different riders and price ranges. Priced at ₹74,999, ₹1,04,999, and ₹1,99,999 respectively, these variants also come with battery options (2.5 kWh, 3.5 kWh, and 4.5 kWh) that enhance their versatility.

With a top range of 200 km and speeds up to 124 kmph for the Roadster X, Ola’s offerings cater to various riding needs and budgets. Ola Roadster Pro vs Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 – Know which is Beast?

Advanced Technology and Riding Features

Equipped with modern technology, the Roadster series offers three riding modes—Sports, Normal, and Eco—and a 4.3-inch LCD powered by MoveOS 5.

Riders can enjoy features like Ola Maps with Turn-by-Turn navigation, OTA updates, and advanced regenerative braking. Additional highlights include TPMS alerts, a digital key system, cruise control, and seamless smartphone integration through the Ola Electric app.

Consumer Service Issues and Investigations

Amid this production progress, Ola Electric faces regulatory scrutiny over customer service concerns.

The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has asked the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) to investigate over 10,000 consumer complaints alleging misleading advertising, service issues, and potential rights violations. Ola’s response to these concerns will be essential as it seeks to maintain trust in a competitive market.
