The Indian Electric two-wheeler segment continues to maintain its upward trajectory in July 2025, recording one of the strongest performances of the year.

The segment has showcased notable growth and significant shifts in market leadership, with legacy brands taking the lead.

According to Vahan Data, the electric two-wheeler segment recorded retail sales of 1,00,989 units in July 2025, showing a slight dip from June’s 1,05,282 units.

Despite this, the YoY performance remains strong, and competition continues to intensify.

The top three electric two-wheeler manufacturers—TVS Motors, Bajaj Auto and Ola Electric—battled closely for the top spot on the market leaderboard in July 2025.

The market experienced a dynamic shift in rankings and growth patterns, especially among the top five players who collectively held 84% of the market share this month.

TVS Motors continues to lead the Electric 2W market in July with a sales figure of 22,230 units, despite a month-on-month decline of 12.03% compared to 25,274 units in June.

Bajaj Auto holds the second spot with 19,650 units sold in July, down 14.60% from June’s 23,004 units.

Ola Electric follows closely in third position, selling 17,848 units in July—an 11.59% drop from 20,189 units in June.

Interestingly, the gap between Ola and Ather Energy is now just 1,617 units, suggesting a possible shuffle next month.

Ather Energy holds the fourth position with a strong performance of 16,231 units in July, recording a solid month-on-month growth of 11.86% over June’s 14,512 units.

TVS Motors continues to lead the electric 2W segment in July 2025, maintaining its top position despite a sales dip.

The brand sold 22,230 units in July compared to 25,274 units in June, reflecting a MoM decline of -12.03%.

TVS iQube remains one of the best-selling electric scooters in the country, helping the brand secure a market share of 21.60%.

#2 Bajaj Auto

#7 Bgauss Auto

Bgauss dropped to 7th position with 1,593 units in July, down from 1,952 in June, indicating a significant MoM decline of -18.40%.

Pur Energy moved up with a strong MoM growth of 18.14%, selling 1,688 units in July versus 1,429 in June.
