VinFast Unveils VF6, VF7 EVs at Auto ExpoVinFast, the Vietnamese EV manufacturer, made its debut in the Indian EV market by announcing the launch of its two new electric SUVs, VF6 and VF7 at the Bharat Global Mobility Expo 2025 in New Delhi today.

While an official launch date for both the Vinfast VF6 and VF7 has not been revealed yet, they are expected to be launched in the second half of 2025.

Vinfast VF6 and VF7 Price in India?

As of now, official prices are not available for both electric cars but it is anticipated that the Vinfast VF6 will be priced at around 30 lakh. The Vinfast VF7, positioned as a premium EV offering from the brand, is expected to have a starting price of 50 lakh.

Vinfast VF6 and VF7 Design

Both the Vinfast VF6 and VF7 boast a sleek and futuristic design, inspired by airplane specs.

They follow the signature design language of the brand, with the front fascia featuring a V-shaped sleek LED DRL that go down on both sides of the Vinfast logo, resembling the shape of airplane wings. They also feature a cockpit-type cabin, matching the overall airplane design theme.

Vinfast VF6 and VF7 Specificatons

The Vinfast VF6 is a compact electric SUV from the brand, it features a 59.6 kWh battery pack offering a maximum range of 400 kms on a full charge.

The VF6 is equipped with a single-motor front-wheel-drive configuration, producing a power of 198 bhp and a torque of 309 nm.

The Vinfast VF7 is a premium mid-size electric SUV from the brand, it features a 75.3 kWh battery pack offering a maximum range of 450 kms on a full charge.

The VF7 will be available in both single and dual-electric motor options.

The single-motor front-wheel drive configuration produces a power of 201 bhp and a torque of 310 nm. The dual motor all-wheel drive configuration produces a higher power of 348 bhp and a maximum torque of 500 nm.

Vinfast VF6 and VF7 Features

The Vinfast VF6 is equipped with a 12.9-inch central touchscreen as well as a heads-up display, ventilated front seats, panoramic sunroof, etc. It is also equipped with safety features such as multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera and a level 2 ADAS system.

The Vinfast VF7 is equipped with a 15-inch touchscreen infotainment system as well as a heads-up display, a panoramic glass roof, ventilated front seats and a wireless phone charger. It is also equipped with safety features like multiple airbags, electronic stability control, a 360-degree camera system and a level 2 ADAS system.

Significance of their presence at the Auto Expo

The CEO of VinFast Asia, Pham Sanh Chau, stated the significance of the brand’s presence at the Auto Expo, “Our presence at the Bharat Mobility Show 2025 is a milestone for VinFast. We believe the VF 7 and VF 6 will drive EV adoption in India. Showcasing our broader portfolio here underscores our commitment to sustainable mobility and advanced technology.”

Other launches

Apart from the Vinfast VF6 and VF7, the brand also showcased other models from their line-up such as the VF 3,VF 8, VF 9 and the VF e34. Vinfast also showcased some of its electric two-wheeler offerings for the Indian market such as Evo 200, Vento, Klara, Feliz and Theon.

Final Thoughts

In conclusion, the brand has an ambitious EV expansion plan and is preparing to position itself as one of the major players in India’s growing EV market with these upcoming launches.
