On March 4, 2025, Ultraviolette introduced the Tesseract at an introductory price of Rs 1.20 lakh for the first 10,000 customers, with the price rising to Rs 1.45 lakh afterward.
This pricing strategy seems likely to create buzz and encourage early adoption, though it’s unclear if this applies to all variants.
The Tesseract offers flexibility with three battery capacities:
It’s powered by an electric motor delivering up to 20.1 bhp, with the 3.5kWh variant at 13.59 PS (10 kW) and the higher variants at 20.39 PS (15 kW). It accelerates from 0 to 60 km/h in 2.9 seconds, with a top speed of 125 km/h, making it a standout for performance enthusiasts.
The scooter’s design is futuristic, inspired by combat helicopters, featuring a dual LED projector headlamp with floating DRLs. It includes advanced safety features like dual radars and front/rear dashcams for blind spot detection, overtaking assist, and collision alerts.
A 7-inch TFT touchscreen offers navigation and connectivity, complemented by wireless smartphone charging and a 34-liter underseat storage. Colors include Desert Sand, Sonic Pink, and Stealth Black, with some sources mentioning Solar White, adding a potential unexpected aesthetic choice.
With deliveries set for Q1 2026, the Tesseract targets tech-savvy, affluent urban commuters, competing with models like the Ola S1 Pro and Ather 450X. Its advanced features and range position it as a premium option, though its wait time and Ultraviolette’s newer presence in scooters might raise reliability concerns for some.
