This car accounted for 74% of the total EV sales which is not surprising considering the features of this car. Starting at just Rs 14.99 lakhs, the Nexon EV Prime is a five-seat vehicle that the company claims can drive up to 312 km on a single charge.

The 30.2 kWh battery can be charged from 0% to 80% in about an hour with a fast charger and takes about 9 hours to charge at home

#2 Tata Tigor EV

Another contender from tata is the Tata Tigor EV. Considering its low price it is not surprising that it managed to be one of the best-selling electric cars in 2022.

Key specifications – The e-car has an IP67 Rated Battery Pack and Motor.  It can be charged anywhere using a 26kWh battery pack that can deliver a range of 315 km.

The permanent synchronous motor has a power output of 55kW and 170Nm torque.  Using a fast DC charger, you can charge the vehicle in 59 minutes from 10-80%. The AC home charger requires a 15A socket that can charge your vehicle from 10-100% within 9.4 hours. The battery pack used is made from a liquid cooling mechanism.

#3 MG ZS EV

With the release of a new model of the MG ZS which was already popular among consumers, MG managed to secure a spot in the list of best-selling cars of 2022.

new MG ZS EV combines a 173.83bhp motor with a 50.3 kWh battery for an inspiring driving experience, 276 miles range full charge and zero tailpipe emissions.

#4 Hyundai Kona

Hyundai managed to secure the 4th spot on the list of best-selling electric cars of 2022 with the Hyundai Kona

The Hyundai Kona is powered by a 39.2 kW lithium-ion polymer battery which gives the car a range of 452 km and it takes 6 hours and 10 minutes to get a 100% charge. It also supports 50 kW DC fast charging, which only takes 57 minutes on 0-80% charge.

#5 Volvo XC40 Recharge

When it comes to comfort and safety Volvo rules the market.

Hence, users looking for a more luxurious experience opted for the Volvo XC40. The key specifications of this car include a Range of 418km on a Single Charge with a Power of 408hp. It has a Battery Capacity of 78 kW Battey Pack with a Charging Time of Around 28 min while in fast charge mode. Acceleration 0-100 km/h in 4.9 sec
