Tata Technologies & Telechips Partner for ADAS & Software-Defined VehiclesIn a move set to redefine the automotive landscape, Tata Technologies and Telechips announced a strategic partnership today at CES 2025. The collaboration aims to develop innovative software solutions for next-generation software-defined vehicles (SDVs), focusing on Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), automotive cockpit domain controllers, and central & zonal gateway controllers for Electric Vehicles.

As the automotive industry rapidly shifts towards connected, autonomous, and electric vehicles, SDVs are becoming increasingly critical. However, seamlessly integrating complex software and hardware presents a significant challenge for automakers. This partnership leverages Tata Technologies’ deep expertise in automotive software engineering and SDV development with Telechips’ cutting-edge semiconductor technology, including SoCs, AI Vision ADAS processors, and network gateway processors.

“We are delighted to collaborate with Telechips,” said Warren Harris, CEO and Managing Director of Tata Technologies. “By combining their advanced semiconductor technology with our expertise, we can help our customers develop competitive software-defined vehicles. This partnership exemplifies our commitment to engineering a better world by enabling OEMs to deliver intelligent, connected, and sustainable vehicles.”

Jang-Kyu Lee, CEO of Telechips, echoed this sentiment: “Our partnership with Tata Technologies highlights our commitment to transforming the automotive semiconductor landscape. By combining our solutions with their expertise in vehicle software and hardware integration, we are paving the way for safer, smarter, and more connected mobility solutions.”

This collaboration addresses critical industry needs such as:

  • Real-time updates: Ensuring vehicles receive the latest software enhancements for optimal performance and security.
  • Seamless connectivity: Enabling vehicles to seamlessly interact with other devices and infrastructure.
  • Enhanced safety: Leveraging AI and advanced SoC technologies to improve ADAS capabilities and overall vehicle safety.

By focusing on co-developing a scalable software framework for ADAS and autonomous vehicle platforms, the partnership will utilize AI to enhance situational awareness and decision-making capabilities in vehicles.

Furthermore, the integration of Telechips’ advanced SoCs will enable faster and more efficient vehicle communications, contributing to the global push for greener transportation solutions.

This partnership between Tata Technologies and Telechips marks a significant step towards accelerating the development and adoption of SDVs, promising a future of safer, more intelligent, and sustainable mobility.
