The Tata Sierra was an iconic SUV from the brand, renowned in its time for its bold design and advanced features. Recently, Tata showcased its modern electric concept, blending nostalgia with futuristic design.

The New Gen Tata Sierra EV concept version was initially showcased at the Auto Expo in 2023, blending nostalgia with futuristic performance.

The near-production version of the Tata Sierra EV is anticipated to be showcased at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The Auto Expo is scheduled from January 17 to January 22, 2025, in New Delhi.

2025 Tata Sierra EV Launch and Price

The New Gen Tata Sierra EV is likely to be launched in the Indian market sometime in mid-2025. It is estimated to have a starting price of approx 25 lakhs (ex-showroom), making it a premium yet affordable electric SUV.

2025 Tata Sierra EV Design & Features

The Tata Sierra EV is anticipated to retain the iconic silhouette and the signature style of the original Sierra model. However, it will incorporate a new sleek and minimalist design for the EV.

Tata Sierra EV is also anticipated to carry the same design language that was showcased at the Auto Expo 2023.  The prototype of the Tata Sierra EV was spotted in testing recently. There were minimal changes spotted between the production and the concept version, suggesting that the brand plans to retain its design language.

Features

The Tata Sierra EV is anticipated to be the most feature-rich electric SUV from the brand. It is also expected to feature a panoramic sunroof, sleek LED lights, ventilated seats, dual infotainment setup, dual-zone climate control, and many more advanced features.

The Tata Sierra EV is also anticipated to be equipped with safety features like level 2 ADAS system, multiple airbags, a 360-degree HD camera, electronic stability control, etc.

Tata Sierra EV Battery & Platform

Tata Motors has not yet unveiled the battery specifications of the Sierra EV. However, it is anticipated to have a high-capacity powerful battery, with its capacity ranging from 60 kWh to 80 kWh approx, offering an estimated range of 500 kilometers on a full charge.

The Tata Sierra EV is expected to be built on the brand’s Acti.EV platform, which currently underpins the Curvv EV and will also underpin the brand’s future lineup. This dedicated electric vehicle platform is designed to accommodate both all-wheel-drive (AWD) and rear-wheel-drive (RWD) options.

Tata Motors aims to appeal to both nostalgic as well as EV enthusiasts looking for a premium electric SUV, by bringing back the iconic Sierra. This launch is anticipated to contribute significantly to the growth of electric mobility in 2025 in India.
