Raptee.HV T30, India’s first high-voltage electric motorcycle with 200 km range

Share

Raptee.HV, a Chennai-based EV startup, has made a significant leap in the electric motorcycle industry by launching India’s first high-voltage electric motorcycle named the T30. This innovative model is equipped with technology traditionally used in electric cars globally.

The advanced technology allows the motorcycle to compete with 250-300cc ICE counterparts while generating significantly less heat. The car is compatible with car charging stations.

Raptee.HV’s new electric motorcycle is priced at ₹2.39 lakhs

Adoption of High-Voltage Technology

The key highlight of the Raptee.HV T30 motorcycle is its adoption of high-voltage (HV) technology, making it the first in India to support universal charging standards designed for electric cars. With an onboard charger, this motorcycle is compatible with 13,500 CCS2 car charging stations across the country, a network that is set to expand shortly.

This cutting-edge development gives riders access to an established charging infrastructure, offering unparalleled convenience.

Performance and Range Specifications of T30

The T30 motorcycle delivers impressive performance, featuring an IDC estimated range of 200 km and a real-world range of over 150 km on a single charge. The high-voltage technology allows the motorcycle to accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in under 3.5 seconds. Additionally, the IP67-rated battery pack ensures safety and durability, meeting regulatory requirements and adding to the motorcycle’s reliability.

Feature Specification
Battery Range (IDC) 200 km
Real-World Range 150 km
Acceleration (0-60 kmph) Under 3.5 seconds
Battery Warranty 8 years / 80,000 km

Features of T30

Beyond its physical performance, the motorcycle is equipped with advanced software features. Raptee.HV’s in-house electronics power the HV technology, and the custom-built Operating System, based on an automotive-grade Linux platform, enhances the user experience. This makes the motorcycle’s interface highly responsive and user-friendly.

Color Options of the T30

The Raptee.HV T30 motorcycle will be available in four striking colors—

  • Horizon Red
  • Arctic White
  • Mercury Grey,
  • Eclipse Black.

These dynamic color choices add to the appeal of the motorcycle, allowing customers to express their personal style while enjoying top-notch performance.

Distribution and Delivery Plans

Deliveries for the Raptee.HV motorcycle will begin in Chennai and Bangalore starting in January.

Raptee.HV plans to expand to other key cities depending on the market’s inclination toward mid-premium motorcycles and the adoption of electric mobility in those areas. The company is strategically rolling out its expansion plans to meet demand efficiently.

Future Plans of Raptee.HV

To further enhance the customer journey, Raptee.HV is opening a Factory-Integrated Experience Centre named “Tech store.HV” at their headquarters in Chennai. This unique space will offer customers a fully immersive experience, including factory tours to see the motorcycle-building process firsthand. The company also plans to provide a range of direct-to-consumer services in addition to traditional retail methods.

By adopting a modern approach to distribution and focusing on both quality and innovation, Raptee.HV is set to disrupt the electric motorcycle industry in India.

The company aims to enhance the customer experience by introducing a variety of digital and direct-to-consumer offerings for a seamless ownership journey with Raptee.HV. Initial expansion will focus on company-owned experience centers in Chennai and Bangalore, with plans to strategically grow into additional regions and international markets in the coming years based on insights gained from these initial locations.
