Indofast Energy, India’s battery-swapping network Startup, has partnered with Green Tiger Mobility, a two-wheeler (2W) retrofit player, to accelerate India’s transition to electric mobility.

This game-changing partnership tackles India’s 300 million+ petrol two-wheelers head-on, offering an affordable, seamless, and eco-friendly retrofit solution. This initiative will make EV adoption seamless, cost-effective, and accessible for millions of riders across the country.

This innovative solution allows riders to seamlessly transition from petrol to electric by retrofitting their existing two-wheelers with Green Tiger Mobility’s ARAI-approved conversion solutions.

Once converted, riders can access Indofast Energy’s extensive battery-swapping network, eliminating concerns about range anxiety and long charging times.

To ensure a hassle-free transition, the offering includes RTO approvals, insurance, and other regulatory requirements at a fixed cost.

Additionally, the conversion process is made financially accessible, which means riders can convert their vehicle with a small down payment and pay the remaining amount through manageable EMIs, which the savings can cover from switching to electric.

This ensures that the vehicle pays for itself, making EV adoption easier and more economical than ever.

Currently, the solution is available for the top 11 highest-selling 2W scooter models viz.

Hero (Maestro & Pleasure), Honda (Activa, Aviator, Dio and Cliq), Suzuki (Access & Swish), TVS (Jupiter & Wego), and Yamaha (Fascino).

The offering is already available in Bangalore and will be launched in Delhi NCR by May.

It will then be made available to the rest of the country in the next 12 to 15 months. Initially, the focus will be on quick commerce delivery executives, ensuring they have an affordable and sustainable alternative to petrol-powered vehicles.

The solution will then be extended to the mass market, making EV conversion accessible to all.

With over 500 customers in Bangalore, Green Tiger Mobility has its entire product line approved by ARAI and registered at prominent RTOs. Backed by six approved patents, the company has support from prestigious institutions such as ARAI, the Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI), the Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY), IIM Bangalore, BITS Pilani, and Bajaj Motors.

Indofast Energy, a 50-50 joint venture between IndianOil and SUN Mobility, operates more than 900 battery swap stations nationwide. The company’s advanced energy infrastructure is designed to cater to e-autos, e-bikes, and e-scooters, ensuring uninterrupted mobility for both commercial and personal users.

By integrating Green Tiger’s retrofit technology with Indofast Energy’s extensive swapping network, the partnership aims to make EV adoption effortless and accessible for millions of Indians.
