Ola Electric, under the leadership of Bhavish Aggarwal, is gearing up to launch its electric motorcycle during the company’s annual “Sankalp 2024” event on August 15. This event, which will take place at the FutureFactory, marks a pivotal moment for Ola as it steps into the electric bike segment for the first time.

While specific details about the new bike remain under wraps, Ola Electric has been fueling excitement by revealing various design teasers on social media.
Ola Electric has kept most of the details about the new motorcycle a secret, but the company has dropped hints that have sparked speculation.
The official launch on August 15 has been confirmed, but it is still unclear whether the motorcycle will be immediately available for purchase this year.
The design teasers suggest that the bike could either target the entry-level market, competing with models like the Tork Kratos R and Revolt RV400, or the high-performance segment, where it might challenge rivals such as the Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 and Matter Aera.
A teaser image released on social media offers a glimpse into the design of the upcoming motorcycle. The bike is expected to feature a dual-pod LED headlamp
, reminiscent of the headlamp design seen in Ola’s S1 electric scooter series. This headlamp is likely to include a horizontal LED strip at the top and two vertical strips on the sides, which are anticipated to serve as turn indicators. Moreover, a blurry image shared by Bhavish Aggarwal hinted at the presence of slim, KTM-inspired turn indicators on both the front and rear ends of the bike.
Recent development photos provide further insights into the possible mechanical features of the motorcycle. The electric motorcycle is expected to come with a conventional right-side-up telescopic fork suspension, which is a common choice for motorcycles aiming for a balance between cost and performance.
Additionally, it is speculated that the bike will use a chain final drive system, which could indicate a focus on delivering strong, consistent power to the wheels. The large battery pack, expected to be housed within a tubular frame, suggests that Ola is aiming for a competitive range and performance.
As the countdown to the August 15 event continues, anticipation is building among industry watchers and consumers alike. Ola Electric’s foray into the electric motorcycle market is seen as a significant step toward shaping the future of electric mobility in India.
The new bike has the potential to disrupt the market, especially if it can deliver a compelling combination of design, performance, and pricing. All eyes will be on the “Sankalp 2024” event to see how this new entrant will fare against established players in the electric motorcycle segment.
