Mahindra is gearing up to strengthen its foothold in the electric vehicle market by introducing two all-new electric SUVs: the BE 6e and XEV 9e.

Slated to debut on November 26, the company has teased these models multiple times, showcasing their production-ready designs and key features.

Initially revealed as concepts in 2022 at Mahindra’s UK design studio, these SUVs were earlier named BE.05 and XUV.e9 but have since been rebranded as BE 6e and XEV 9e.

The BE 6e is the debut product of the BE brand, while the XEV 9e is the maiden model of the XEV brand. Both brands are built on the electric-origin INGLO architecture.

This article delves into all the details currently available about the much-anticipated BE 6e and XEV 9e.

Mahindra BE 6e and XEV 9e: Design and looks

With its new BE lineup, Mahindra aims to redefine its design approach, creating vehicles with a contemporary and futuristic vibe.
The teaser visuals confirm that the electric SUVs adhere to this vision, drawing significant inspiration from the concept models showcased earlier.

Mahindra BE 6e

The BE 6e exudes a cutting-edge aesthetic while projecting an assertive stance with its bold contours and prominent wheel arches. The BE 6E features a sharp design with a pointed bonnet, C-shaped LED DRLs, and a slim bumper.

Additionally, it would be based on the XUV 700’s platform majorly. To enhance its uniqueness, the SUV features a hood scoop, likely contributing to the vehicle’s aerodynamic efficiency, along with an illuminated BE emblem on the hood.

The stylish design is further accentuated by aerodynamically optimized wheels.

Mahindra XEV 9e

Similarly, the XEV 9e, a coupe-style SUV, showcases a striking triangular headlamp configuration accompanied by DRLs stretching across the vehicle’s width.  The XEV 9E has a coupe-like roofline, inverted L-shaped connected LED DRLs, and taillights.

The sculpted character lines give it a powerful, robust appearance, balanced by the sleekness of the illuminated logo. Like the BE 6e, the XEV 9e has wheels designed to maximize aerodynamic performance.

The rear of the XUV 9e reveals connected LED taillights, with the illuminated Mahindra Infinity logo.
