Mahindra Delivers 3000 units of BE 6 and XEV 9e Electric SUVs

Mahindra & Mahindra has achieved a significant milestone in its electric vehicle journey with the delivery of over 3,000 units of its BE 6 and XEV 9e electric SUVs since the commencement of deliveries on March 20, 2025.

This accomplishment underscores the strong initial demand for Mahindra’s newly launched electric SUVs, particularly the top-end Pack Three variant, which has garnered significant customer preference.

The overwhelming response has led to extended waiting periods of up to six months in certain regions, prompting Mahindra to actively scale up its production and delivery capabilities nationwide.

This delivery milestone is anticipated to positively impact Mahindra’s market share in the rapidly expanding electric vehicle sector in India.

Furthermore, the company has articulated ambitious future production and delivery targets for these models.

Initial customer reviews and reactions to both the BE 6 and XEV 9e have been overwhelmingly positive, highlighting their design, features, and performance

Mahindra & Mahindra has witnessed a notable surge in its market share within India’s electric passenger vehicle segment in early 2025.

In January 2025, the company held a 16% share of the market, supported by its existing electric SUV lineup, including the XUV400 EV, alongside the newly launched BE 6 and XEV 9e.

This momentum continued into March 2025, where Mahindra’s market share dramatically increased to 15.8%, marking a substantial rise of 1,046 basis points from the 5.3% share recorded in February 2025.

This significant growth directly correlates with the commencement of deliveries for the BE 6 and XEV 9e in March, suggesting a positive initial impact of these models on Mahindra’s market positioning.

The delivery of 3,000 units in a short timeframe represents a considerable volume for newly introduced electric vehicles in a competitive market.

Sustained strong demand, coupled with efficient production and delivery processes, could further solidify Mahindra’s position as a serious contender within the Indian EV landscape
