What is “In-Car Payment” Feature in Hyundai’s Upcoming Creta EVHyundai has been an important player in the Indian automotive industry, actively supporting the country’s shift to electric mobility.

Hyundai is all geared up for the launch of the Creta EV, which is expected to be launched next week at the Bharat Mobility Global Auto, targeting the popular mid-size SUV segment.

The Hyundai Creta electric SUV boasts an array of advanced features and impressive safety features.

Hyundai Creta Electric In-Car Payment Features

The Hyundai Creta Electric SUV boasts several unique features, one of which includes an in-car payment feature that allows users to pay for EV charging directly from within the electric vehicle.

Hyundai has partnered with a network of more than 1,150 charging stations all over India, to further support this feature.

This feature allows users to pay for EV charging directly via the car’s infotainment system. This helps streamline the charging process, eliminating the external methods required for payment, and enhancing convenience during charging sessions.

In-car payment systems are an important development in the Indian electric mobility segment, allowing drivers to make payments without getting out of their cars. It not only is much more convenient but it also simplifies the tedious charging process, encouraging the faster adoption of electric mobility.

Other features

In addition to the “In-Car Payment” system, the Hyundai Creta Electric is equipped with a diverse range of advanced features.

These features include a digital key that allows remote vehicle access via a smartphone or smartwatch, connected car features, a shift-by-wire system that enables seamless gear transitions, dual 10.25-inch screens for the infotainment system, and digital instrument cluster, a premium 8-speaker Bose audio sound system, automatic climate control with dual-zone function, ventilated front seats, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, etc

Safety Features

The Hyundai Creta electric SUV also comes equipped with several safety features, including six airbags, electronic stability control, a tire pressure monitoring system, 360 degrees HD camera with parking sensor,s and a Level 2 ADAS system, offering features like lane-keeping assist, forward collision warning, blind spot collision warning, and smart cruise control.

Final Thoughts

These features help position the Hyundai Creta Electric as a great option in the E4W segment, combining advanced technology with great performance.

Besides the Creta EV, Hyundai is anticipated to launch the second generation Hyundai Kona Electric and more models from the IONIQ family, such as the IONIQ 6, soon.

Hyundai aims to offer consumers a selection of premium electric vehicles with competitive performance, advanced tech, and range, starting with introducing the Creta EV and Ioniq EV family.

The launch of their electric vehicle range in the EV market is projected to contribute significantly to the growth of electric mobility in 2025 in India.
