Final Thoughts

The electric four-wheeler market witnessed a change in dynamics as well as conflict in January 2025, with Tata Motors’s market share falling to 34.51%, whilst MG Motors battled closely behind at 30.01%.

Despite Tata’s dominance in the segment, its overall sales figures and market share have recently fallen. It dropped from a high per cent to below 40% this month.

This indicates increasing competition from competitors like MG Motors, Mahindra, BYD, Citroen, Hyundai, etc whose consistently improving sales figures hint at a potentially tighter conflict in the upcoming year.
