BYD Company has taken a step towards expanding its electric vehicle lineup. The Chinese automotive giant recently applied for a patent on the exterior design of its upcoming electric motorcycle.
To provide a visual preview, BYD has also released a series of images showcasing the motorcycle’s design.
While specific details about the motorcycle’s features and performance remain under wraps, the patent and images offer a glimpse into BYD’s vision for its electric two-wheeler.
BYD recently partnered with two-wheeler giant Huaihai Group and started building a 30 GWh sodium-ion battery plant in Zhuzhou.
And BYD already has some experience with electric motorcycles.
The BYD Neely patented design features a similar exterior to the BMW CE 04 electric maxi scooter and could be a direct competitor to the BMW CE 04.
