This initiative, introduced in collaboration with Reliance General Insurance, addresses customer concerns regarding battery health, performance, and replacement expenses.
This eight-year optional plan complements the standard five-year battery warranty and aims to provide added peace of mind. The plan focuses on tackling challenges like manufacturing defects and claim rejections, ensuring a smoother ownership experience for customers.
The Eight70 warranty offers comprehensive coverage for up to eight years or 80,000 kilometers, whichever comes first. The “70” in the name guarantees to maintain 70% battery health throughout the warranty period.
Ather assures customers that the plan covers manufacturing defects and battery failures without any upper monetary limit on claims.
Moreover, claims will not be denied even in cases of deep discharging, ensuring reliability even when the scooter is left uncharged for prolonged periods.
The Eight70 warranty is available as a three-year add-on to the existing five-year warranty included with the Pro Pack and is priced at ₹4,999 (including GST).
It is offered to buyers of both the Ather 450 series and Rizta scooters, providing a cost-effective option to safeguard long-term battery performance.
By including this warranty, Ather emphasizes its commitment to customer satisfaction and the durability of its products.
These competitive pricing tiers, combined with the Eight70 warranty, aim to enhance the value proposition of Ather scooters for prospective buyers.
