Designed as a single machine for both city commutes and adventure trails, the X47 sets new benchmarks with radar-assisted safety, aerospace-grade design, dual cameras, and performance comparable to mid-segment ICE bikes.
Opening the event, CEO Narayan Subramanium reflected on Ultraviolette’s rapid growth. In just one year, the company has expanded from one city (Bengaluru) to nearly 30 Indian cities, with international forays into Nepal and 10 European countries.
“We’ve proven Indian engineering can stand strong on the global stage,” Subramanium said, emphasizing that the X47 isn’t just a product launch but a statement of intent for the future of motorcycling.
Traditional motorcycles are segmented into sports bikes, cruisers, roadsters, and tourers. But in India, riders face multiple terrains in a single journey: traffic-choked streets, weekend trails, highways, monsoon roads.
The X47 Crossover is Ultraviolette’s answer — one motorcycle for many roads.
60–70% of time: navigating urban challenges
30–40% of time: long weekend rides, highways, and trails
Carrying forward Ultraviolette’s aviation DNA, the X47 draws inspiration from fighter jets with forward-swept wing elements for agility.
1:1 clay model ergonomics testing for rider comfort
Upright yet active riding triangle for daily use and touring
Casted aluminium subframe (stronger than plastic, accessory-ready)
Custom accessories: panniers, aero discs, auxiliary lamps, knuckle guards
Personalities: Laser Red, Air Strike White, Shadow Black
“Designed by motorcyclists for motorcyclists” – that’s the mantra Ultraviolette says defines the X47.
The X47 debuts UV Hypersense, the world’s first radar-based ADAS system in this segment:
77 GHz rear radar with 150° horizontal, 68° vertical coverage
Detects threats up to 200 m away
Blind Spot Detection
Lane Change Assist
Overtake Alerts
Rear Collision Warnings (hazard lights flash automatically)
Other standout tech:
Integrated 1080p front & rear cameras with Sony sensors
Loop recording + crash-video lock
Dual digital displays with live camera feed and riding data
Dynamic Stability Control – world’s first system linking ABS with regenerative braking
0–60 km/h: 2.7 sec
0–100 km/h: 8.1 sec
Top speed: 145 km/h
Power: 40 HP (30 kW)
Torque: 610 Nm at the wheel
The X47 also offers 4 levels of traction control, dual-channel switchable ABS, and 9 levels of regenerative braking capable of recovering up to 30% energy.
323 km IDC range – among the highest for Indian motorcycles
Asia’s largest battery pack with 5-level safety system (thermal, electrical, electronic, mechanical, software)
Onboard 1.6 kW charger – world’s most power-dense air-cooled design
Fast DC charging: UV Supernova network (12 kW)
4,000+ AC charging points via UV Link
Warranty: Up to 8 years / 8 lakh km – one of the world’s highest for two-wheelers
To highlight EV economics, Subramanium explained:
₹100 of petrol = ~30 km on a 350cc bike
₹100 of electricity = ~300 km on the X47
Or in other words, 10X the efficiency of petrol motorcycles.

The Ultraviolette X47 Crossover isn’t just another EV. It’s India’s first radar-equipped motorcycle, blending cutting-edge safety, performance, and design at a price accessible to petrol riders.
With its global-first innovations, long-range battery, and aggressive pricing, the X47 could well be the defining motorcycle that takes India’s electric two-wheeler industry to the world stage.
