Ola Customer Suffers Serious Accident Due to Faulty Fork Arm

Share

Ola Electric, a major player in the electric two-wheeler market, has been facing severe criticism due to its poor after-sales services and long delays in its services.

Earlier, the company was criticized for the poor quality of the front fork suspension and software glitches.

Recently, a customer met with a serious accident due to a fault in the front fork arm. The terrible user experience has brought forth serious safety concerns about Ola electric scooters.

Ola customer Mathu Raja Selvam, a student of KCG College of Technology, wrote about the incident on LinkedIn:

I am sharing my horrific experience with the Ola S1 Pro electric scooter, which I believe is the WorstProductEver. Recently, I was involved in a serious accident due to a defective front fork arm, which led to significant leg injuries. The vehicle was so severely damaged that it is no longer roadworthy, and I am lucky to be alive. This has not just been a traumatic physical experience but a wake-up call to the lack of quality and safety in Ola’s vehicles.

What makes this incident even more chilling is that I was traveling alone at the time. If something worse had happened, no one would have been there to help me. I was completely reliant on a vehicle that I trusted to keep me safe—and it failed me in the most catastrophic way possible.

The Ola S1 Pro is a life-threatening product, and I cannot, in good conscience, recommend anyone put their life at risk by using this scooter. The faulty design and low-quality materials put my life in danger, and I am left dealing with the aftermath of this avoidable incident.

In my opinion, Ola Electric should reconsider its business model and start making toys for babies, because this product is not roadworthy for adults. It is a waste of money and a serious hazard to anyone who uses it. ola_life_threatening_product

To anyone considering the Ola S1 Pro, my advice is simple: stay away. It’s not worth risking your life for a vehicle that can fail catastrophically without warning.” Link to the Post.

Just 2 days ago, an Ola Electric customer vandalized his brand new scooter: Anger over hefty repair bill of Rs 90k.

The incident has sparked widespread concern among Ola customers and raised questions about the company’s commitment to after-sales services and the safety of its vehicles
