Hyundai Exter EV spotted testing on the road ahead of launch. The spy shots reveal that the Exter EV is likely to feature an updated frontal design and distinctive EV badging.

There is going to be a different set of wheels on the EV model.

The interior features are expected to be in line with the ICE model.

However, the instrument cluster will be recalibrated to show electric vehicle-specific information.

The ICE variant of the Exter EV features an impressive range of 20 first-in-segment and 9 best-in-segment features. Along with the first-in-segment features, its safety features also stand out.

The Exter EV model is also expected to be equipped with the same features.

Hyundai’s entry-level EV

Hyundai Exter EV will be the company’s first entry-level EV in India. It opens up a new segment for the brand.

As of now, Hyundai only offers premium-range EVs like Ioniq 5 and Kona Electric in India. It is currently working on the Casper EV as well, which could have similarities with the Exter EV. Hyundai offers a range of various electric, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid models in the international market.

Tata Punch EV Rival

The Hyundai Exter EV is going to be launched as the most affordable electric SUV available in its Indian portfolio.

Hyundai must adopt a competitive pricing approach for the upcoming Exter EV. Since pricing is going to be a key factor in determining the leader in the micro SUV EV segment, the Exter and Punch EV prices are close to each other.
