Tamilnadu-based EV manufacturer TI Clean Mobility, part of the diversified conglomerate Murugappa Group earlier has unveiled the Montra Electric Three Wheeler in September 2022 Under the Brand Montra Electric.

Montra Electric marked its foray into the electric vehicle three-wheeler segment with the launch of its Super Auto. It was launched across the country in a phased manner starting with the southern section of India.

The brand aims to strive towards carbon neutrality. They aim to significantly impact India’s effort to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2070.

This electric rickshaw has a range of 160 km per charge. It has a top speed of 55 km per hour. It can accelerate from 0 to 20 km per hour in just 4 seconds. It has a gradability of 21%.

The Montra Electric Super Auto has a 10 kWh lithium-ion battery producing a maximum torque of 60 nm. In addition, it is equipped with fast charging technology. It can be charged in less than 4 hours.

Structure

The electric three-wheeler has a very sturdy Boron Steel Chassis along with a full metal body and its roof is made of rexin canopy material except for the top variant ePX which has a hard roof.

It has a length of 2825 mm, width of 1350 mm, and a height of 1750 mm. It has a wheelbase of 2010 mm and a minimum Ground Clearance of 207 mm.

The Montra Super Auto is offered in three variants: the base model ePV, the mid-variant ePV2.0, and the top variant ePX.

Montra Electric Auto Rickshaw can carry a high payload capacity. Montra ePX has a GVW capacity of 770 kgs, ePV has a capacity of 749 kgs and ePV 2.0 has a capacity of 756 kgs.
