The unveiling of Maruti Suzuki’s eVitara at the recently held auto show 2025 has generated a lot of excitement and anticipation in the Indian electric car market.

Maruti Suzuki unveiled its first all-electric vehicle, the e-Vitara, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, marking an important event for the brand as it ventures into the Indian EV space.
The Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara is anticipated to have an estimated starting price of ₹17 lakh (ex-showroom) which goes up to ₹25 lakh (ex-showroom) depending upon the variant. While an official launch date for the e-Vitara has not been revealed yet, it is expected to be launched in March 2025.
The 42 kWh battery pack produces a power of 144 ps and a torque of 192.5 nm. The larger 61 kWh battery pack produces a power of 174 ps and a torque of 192.2 nm, delivering an impressive range of over 500 kms.
This platform is based on 3 key points exceptional strength and structural rigidity, spacious cabin and advanced high-voltage protection.
Additionally, it incorporates eAxle technology, combining the motor and inverter into a compact unit. It also gets a unique long wheelbase of 2,700mm and a compact 5.2 m turning radius for enhanced manoeuvrability.
It features a flat floor design that maximises cabin space for enhanced comfort and seating while accommodating a high-capacity battery.
The bold exterior of the e-Vitara features polyhedral styling, 18-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels, roof-end spoilers and next-gen LED DRLs with LED projector headlamps, enhancing its look further.
The sophisticated interior design of the e-Vitara features a digital cockpit with a twin-deck floating console, new bespoke steering wheel, a fixed glass sunroof and dual-tone materials with multi-colour ambient lighting, creating a premium ambience.
It features a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a 10.1-inch digital driver’s display, automatic climate control, a fixed glass roof, ventilated front seats, sliding and reclining rear seats, a 10-way powered driver seat, a 360-degree camera, premium Harman audio system and wireless phone charging.
It also features an efficient regenerative braking system for a one-pedal driving experience and adaptive grille shutters that adjust according to the driving conditions efficiently.
It is also equipped with Gen Next Suzuki Connect technology with over 60 features including remote vehicle control and real-time vehicle updates.
On the safety front, the e-Vitara comes equipped with several safety features, including seven airbags, electronic stability control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, an electronic parking brake, all-disc brakes, e-call functionality and a Level 2 ADAS system, offering enhanced safety features and driver assistance.
