Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) has entered the electric scooter market with its first all-new Honda Activa e, an electric version of the much-loved Activa scooter, and the QC1.

This marked a big moment, as Honda was the first Japanese company to enter this space. With its strong reputation, Activa e is ready to take on the competition and attract buyers in the growing electric scooter market.

To enhance the overall customer experience, Honda will also offer complimentary roadside assistance for the first year.

The Ather 450S comes with a standard battery warranty of 3 years or 30,000 km, which can be extended to 8 years or 80,000 km with the Eight70 Pro add-on.

The scooter itself is covered under a 3-year or 30,000 km warranty, whichever comes first. Additionally, the Ather portable charger is backed by a hassle-free 3-year warranty.

The Honda Activa e is equipped with three riding modes—Eco, Standard, and Sport—accessible through a 5-inch LCD on the QC1 variant.
The top-tier Activa e Roadsync Duo trim takes it a step further with a 7-inch TFT screen, enabling advanced functionalities such as turn-by-turn navigation, music and call management, and compatibility with over-the-air (OTA) updates.

 

Moreover, the Activa e includes a smart key fob as a standard feature, delivering added convenience with functionalities like Smart Lock, Smart Locate, Smart Ignition, and Smart Access.

The Ather 450S features a cutting-edge DeepView display, an industry-first 18-segment EBN display designed for exceptional visibility in both bright sunlight and low-light conditions.

Powered by an 800MHz processor, it offers smooth performance with 8GB of internal storage and 1GB RAM for efficient multitasking.

The scooter is equipped with dual disc brakes for superior stopping power and safety, along with a fall-safe alert system to ensure rider protection in case of an accident.

Additionally, the Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) enhances visibility during sudden braking, while the tow and theft alert feature provides added security against unauthorized movement.

For convenience, the Ather 450S includes park assist for easy maneuvering in tight spaces and a mono-shock suspension that delivers a comfortable and stable ride. The auto-hold feature prevents the scooter from rolling backward on slopes, and the call and music alert system keeps you connected on the go.

Honda has yet to reveal the official pricing for the Activa e. However, sources suggest it could range between ₹1 lakh to ₹1.20 lakh. Both the Activa e and QC1 are scheduled for a spring 2025 launch, with the exact pricing expected to be announced in January.

The Ather 450S is priced starting at ₹1,15,599, with the option to avail of Flexipay at ₹2,475 per month.
