That being said, Ola Electric is also eyeing this segment, all set to expand its portfolio in the country.

The brand has finally commenced production of its much anticipated Roadster series electric motorcycles, with CEO Bhavish Aggarwal sharing pictures on the X platform (previously known as Twitter) where he can be seen riding the production-ready Ola Roadster along with a passenger.

Ola Roadster Series Motorcycle

The Ola Electric Roadster series was first introduced during the brand’s Sankalp event in August last year.

Well known for its competitive pricing strategy in the electric scooter market, Ola Electric is now focusing on the electric motorcycle market with its Roadster series, marking its foray into the segment.

The Ola Roadster series consists of three different models: the Ola Roadster, Ola Roadster X and Ola Roadster Pro.

With a diverse range of specs and performance options, each model is designed uniquely to meet the varying needs and demands of customers. Although they will all be built on the same platform, their specs such as battery pack, range, top speed, etc would be different.

The Ola Roadster series represents a great blend of advanced technology, features and futuristic design.

These electric motorcycles will be powered by Ola’s proprietary operating system MoveOS 5, and will come equipped with several advanced features such as a digital instrument console with a TFT touchscreen display, bluetooth connectivity, smart connected tech, fast charging, different riding modes and safety features, etc

While Ola Electric has commenced production of the Roadster series, its deliveries are expected to begin late in 2025.

Final thoughts

Ola Electric aims to expand and reclaim its lost market share with the launch of the Roadster series, considering that its current line of electric scooters has received a lot of criticism from customers and has also failed to adequately address their concerns, leading to a fall in their market share.

In conclusion, the brand is gearing up to strengthen its presence in the electric motorcycle market with its upcoming Roadster series in the country. With great performance, fast charging capabilities, advanced tech and safety features, these models aim to redefine the electric motorcycle segment.
