Ather Energy has been making waves in the electric vehicle market with its range of sleek and efficient electric scooters.
Now, with the launch of the Ather 450X, the company is looking to make its scooters more accessible to a wider range of customers. In this article, we’ll take a look at the base model of the Ather 450X and compare it with the Pro Model, which comes with a range of additional features.
The Ather 450X and 450X Pro Pack share the same powerful PMSM motor, capable of producing a peak power output of 6.4 kWh and a torque output of 26 Nm. These scooters can accelerate from 0-40 kmph in just 3.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 90 kmph.
The Ather 450X comes with a 7-inch color TFT touchscreen display, which is capable of displaying 16 million colors and features dark and light themes.
With the Pro Pack, you get access to Ather Connect Pro, which includes always-on 4G LTE and GPS, onboard Google Maps navigation with live traffic view, and the Ather App for remote charging monitoring, ride statistics, savings tracker, locate nearby Ather Grid points, and push location to the scooter. You also get features like document storage on the dashboard, theft, and tow alerts, and Bluetooth connectivity to your smartphone to accept/reject calls and control music playback on the fly.
The Ather 450X comes with five different ride modes – Eco, Smart Eco, Ride, Sport, and Warp – each designed for different scenarios.
The scooter also comes with a TrueRange display, which provides an accurate estimate of the range remaining. With the Pro Pack, you get access to features like AutoHold, Reverse Assist, Guide Me home lights, and Auto cut-off indicators. Additionally, the Performance Pack includes the Ather TPMS, which allows for remote monitoring of tire pressure, unsafe tire pressure alerts, and puncture alerts.
While both scooters have a 30,000 km or 3-year vehicle and charger warranty, the 450X Pro Pack gets an additional 2 years or 30,000 km of battery warranty. In terms of accessories, both models are compatible with a side step and frunk, but the 450X Pro Pack also supports a tire pressure monitoring system.
