Mahindra 3XO EV
Mahindra is all geared up to expand its electric vehicle portfolio with the launch of the XUV 3X0 EV. This new model is expected to strengthen its presence in the electric SUV segment.
The XUV 3XO EV will have a similar design and features as its ICE model, while the battery pack is expected to be similar to the XUV 400 EV.
XUV 3XO EV Design
The XUV 3XO is likely to get a fresh set of bumpers, tweaked fenders reworked headlamps compared to its ICE version.
It also features a new dual-tone alloy wheel design.
The key highlight is the front right-hand side fender having a charging port. A connected LED light setup can also be spotted at the back. The rest of the design is anticipated to remain the same.
XUV 3XO EV Features
The safety features are also likely to be carried over from its ICE version.
The safety kit would include multiple airbags, an electronic stability program, a tire pressure monitoring system, a hill hold assist, and a rear parking camera.
It can also get an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) with features like lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control.
XUV 3XO EV Battery
It is anticipated to get two battery pack options: 34.5 kWh and 39.5 kWh, both paired with a single electric motor producing 150 PS and 310 Nm.

2. Hyundai Creta EV
Hyundai Motors plans on launching an electric version of its best-selling compact SUV, Hyundai Creta in India very soon. It plans to launch other four EV models in the South Asian market by 2030.
The Hyundai Creta EV would be the first EV in India from the brand to be scheduled for launch in January 2025.
With the rollout of the electric version, Hyundai aims to strengthen its electric vehicle lineup for its consumers as well as boost annual sales.

Hyundai Creta EV Design
The electric SUV will feature a design similar to that of its ICE version with specific changes like a closed grille and other adjustments to differentiate it from the current ice versions.

Hyundai Creta EV Features
The electric Creta’s cabin will differ significantly from the current ICE version. It will have a 4 dot steering wheel, ventilated front seats, 360 camera, ADAS, voice-enabled panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charger, and many more features.

3. MG ES5 EV
MG has revealed its new electric vehicle ES5 ahead of its launch in India. The MG ES5 is a compact, single-motor rear-drive electric SUV that was unveiled at the 2024 Paris Motor Show. The company has recently introduced the ES5 in China and the new electric SUV is expected to be soon introduced in India as well.
MG ES5 Design
The ES5 gets an all-new design language for its exteriors and interior layouts with extensive changes from the current range of EVs. It has a sharp look with simple and elegant aesthetics.
The overall design looks smart and modern.
Its exterior features a bulky look whilst its interior adopts a minimalistic one.
The exterior is equipped with a closed front bumper, sharp LED lights, wide wheels with plastic trims, and a curved bonnet line. Whilst it’s interior has a large 15.6-inch floating screen and an LCD 10.25-inch instrument cluster.
Additionally, it has the gear shifter mounted behind its D-shaped steering wheel. It also has a wireless charging pad and a pair of cup holders.

The MG ES5 is based on a new EV platform called Nebula, developed by its parent brand, SAIC. This platform can support vehicles with a wheelbase of up to 3,100mm and batteries of up to 2 meters in length.
It will be used in its upcoming range and equipped with better electrical architecture and autonomous driving.

The MG ES5 EV has a length of 4,476 mm, a width of 1,849 mm, a height of 1,621 mm, and a 2,730 mm long wheelbase.
It uses a single electric motor mounted at the rear which produces a power of 167 hp and a peak torque of 280 Nm. It gets a top speed of 170 kmph and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 8 seconds.
MG ES5 Battery
MG is offering the new ES5 with multiple battery pack options in China. The largest one is 62.2 kWh and promises a range of 525 km on full charge whilst the 50.5 kWh battery pack delivers a range of 461 km on a single charge.
It would compete with the BYD Atto 3, Hyundai Kona Electric, Kia EV 3, etc whenever launched.
4. Citroen Basalt EV
Citroen launched its first SUV Coupe, the Citroen Basalt in August this year.
Some recent sightings suggest that the company is reportedly working on its all-electric version, which is expected to be launched in 2025.
The Basalt EV is expected to rival the Tata Curvv EV.
Basalt EV Design
The Basalt EV will have minor design changes from its ICE model including a front grille, reworked air dams, and a redesigned front bumper. It would also feature a charging port on the left rear fender.
The key change to be noted would be a change in the front fascia.
Apart from this, the rest of the design is expected to be carried over from the ICE model including elements like a sloping roofline, wraparound taillights, shark-fin antenna, high-mounted stop lamp, split headlamps, and flap-type door handles.

The Citroen Basalt EV is expected to be equipped with features like wireless mobile charging, a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.
In terms of safety features, we can expect standard airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, a seatbelt reminder system as well as a speed alert system.
Basalt EV Battery
The battery details of the Basalt EV have not yet been revealed. However, it is expected to have a 35kWh battery pack and a single electric motor, with a range of around 450 km on a full charge. It would also support quick charging.

5. Maruti Suzuki eVitara
Maruti Suzuki has recently revealed the production form of it’s eVX concept, calling it the eVitara in Milan, Italy. The electric SUV is likely to be unveiled in January and shall make its debut in India at the Bharat Mobility Expo in March 2025.
It is the first-ever global strategic electric SUV offering from the brand and it showcases the design language Maruti will embody for its future lineup. It shall be expected to go on sale via the premium Nexa chain.
Maruti Suzuki eVitara Design
The new Maruti Suzuki eVitara offers a futuristic design with a long wheelbase and a shorter overhang shape.

The eVitara SUV will be offered with two battery packs: 49 kWh and 61 kWh with FWD and AWD options as well and is expected to offer a claimed driving range of up to 550 kms.
- 49 kWh battery is paired with a front-wheel mounted electric motor which produces a power of 144 PS and a peak torque of 189 Nm.
- 61 kWh battery is available with both-wheel drive options. The FWD is mated to an electric motor which produces 174 PS and 189 Nm whilst the AWD gets a more powerful motor producing 184 PS and 300 Nm.
Maruti Suzuki eVitara Price in India
The All New Upcoming Maruti Suzuki eVitara is expected to have a starting price of Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). This would be competitive since the battery would be produced locally.
It will rival with competitors like Nexon EV, and Curvv.EV and XUV 400 EV as well as compete with the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV.
