The company will now offer only the Medium Range (MR) and the Nexon EV 45 variants.
This decision revises earlier reports that suggested both the LR and MR models would be discontinued.
Tata Motors has chosen to retain the MR variant.
The Nexon EV MR starts at ₹12.49 lakh, and the Nexon EV 45 is priced at ₹13.99 lakh (ex-showroom). No other changes to the electric SUV have been announced.
The Nexon EV 45 boasts a 45 kWh battery pack, which Tata Motors claims delivers a range of up to 489 kilometres on a single charge.
Key features include a panoramic sunroof, along with V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) and V2V (Vehicle-to-Vehicle) charging capabilities.
These technologies allow the Nexon EV to power external devices and even other electric vehicles. Using a 60 kW fast charger, the Nexon EV 45 can be charged from 10 to 80 per cent in approximately 40 minutes, according to Tata Motors.
