BYD Yangwang U8 Showcased at Shanghai Auto Show 2023

BYD’s sub-brand, Yangwang Auto, has just given us a sneak peek into their latest offering, the Yangwang U8 SUV. The automaker has released the official interior images before the vehicle’s debut at the 2023 Shanghai Auto Show, where it will be available for pre-sale along with the Yangwang U9.
Introduced in January, the BYD Yangwang U8 is a high-end SUV designed to compete with the all-electric Mercedes G-Wagon and Hummer EV. It is a “million yuan” car with top-of-the-line features and technology.
Interior
With an interior theme dubbed “Halo Cockpit,” every seat is draped in luxurious brown Nappa leather. The sky roof boasts a mesmerizing floating starry sky headliner that can be customized in various patterns.
The U8 is also equipped with top-of-the-line technology, including a vertical 12.8-inch Galaxy curved screen with an inclination angle of 37°, a 23.6-inch instrument screen, and a passenger entertainment screen. Rear-row passengers are treated to not one, but two 12.8-inch floating screens for their entertainment pleasure.
Audio System
The audio system in the U8 is nothing short of remarkable, featuring an Evidence Series Hi-End audio system with an astonishing 22 speakers that deliver a 3D immersive sound experience. The four-spoke steering wheel is stylish and practical, with an auxiliary driving indicator light on the top and driving and terrain mode adjustment at the bottom.
