Wuling hongguang Mini EV is a Chinese battery-powered electric car designed and manufactured by SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) in 2020. The EV has already been doing great business in China for the past two years and will soon be available in India.
This hatchback EV is known for its space friendly as it is a mini EV that comes with an air conditioning system, power windows, a hardcore music system, and space to stow things inside.
The EV is smaller in appearance but comes with more features like anti-lock brakes, tire pressure monitoring sensors, parking sensors, and many more. And currently, as per the government regulations, it will have standard quality airbags.
Wuling mini EV Motor, Speed, and power
you may think that it is a small EV so it may lack performance output but this is not true at all with Wuling hongguang Mini EV. This electric hatchback is powered by a 20 kW power single magnetic Synchronized motor mated to the rear wheels producing 27 hp (27 ps) of horsepower that generates 85 Nm (63 lb-ft) of torque.
With the power potential of the motor, this EV can go up to a top speed of 100 km/h.
Wuling mini EV Battery, Range, and Performance
Since the Mini EV is equipped with such a strong mid-power generating motor, this EV needs to be powered with a good power capacity battery, for which this EV comes with 9.2kWh and 13.8 kWh lithium-ion batteries.
This EV has two battery options, it has different ranges due to the use of different types of batteries, 9.2kWh which gives 120km on a single charge, and 13.8kWh gives 170kWh on a single charge.
This Electric Hatchback model is based on the NEDC driving cycle for suitable energy consumption of about 8.1kWh every 100 km and its current 2022 model will have a much higher power generation capacity of 40 hp with a compatible battery of 26.5kWh which will generate around 200km of range on a single charge.
