The Japanese carmaker, Toyota showcased two automobiles from the AE86 generation, one which will be converted as an electric battery vehicle and the other one as a hydrogen engine model.

Toyota is relatively a newcomer to the mass EV market and intends to invest $70 billion to electrify its cars and increase battery production.

To acquire the appeal points of sound and vibration that one would get from a gas engine, but without the carbon emissions, Toyota aims to modify a model to make its original engine run on hydrogen.

It’s not like there is a tonne of AE86s simply lying around to be repaired and modified, but Toyota intimated during its press conference that it’s at least thinking about attempting to make things easier for people seeking to convert their own personal vehicles away from gasoline.
