India’s Most Affordable Luxury EV Launched – Volvo XC40 Recharge Comes with a Range of Up to 418km.
Volvo Cars India will locally assemble the XC40 Recharge pure electric SUV at its manufacturing facility in Hosakote near Bengaluru in Karnataka. It will rival the Kia EV6 among its rivals in the premium and luxury electric vehicle segment due to its low cost and high-end features.
Volvo Cars India has announced the price of the XC40 recharge electric SUV. Launching its first electric vehicle in India, Volvo has priced the XC40 recharge at ₹55.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
Due to its low cost, it has become India’s most economical electric vehicle in the luxury segment. The XC40 Recharge, which will be locally assembled at the Swedish carmaker’s Hoskote facility near Bengaluru in Karnataka, is Volvo’s first foray into the electric vehicle segment in India.
Based on the ICE variant of the XC40 SUV, the electric avatar is expected to capture the premium and luxury segments with its aggressive pricing & Features.
The electric SUV draws power from a 78 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The large battery helps the XC40 EV last up to 408 km on a single charge. However, the certified range of an electric SUV is around 335 km, which is more likely to be the real-world range
if talk about its charging time, the XC40 Recharge electric SUV supports 150 kW DC fast charging units that can recharge an EV from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 33 minutes.
