Hero MotoCorp has introduced its all-new Vida V2 electric scooter series under its sub-brand Vida. With three distinct variants – Lite, Plus, and Pro – the Vida V2 aims to cater to a wider customer base, each offering unique specifications and features.

The Lite variant is a first for the brand and allows the Vida V2 range to reach a broader audience by providing an entry-level option.

The range offers competitive pricing, starting at Rs. 96,000 for the Lite variant, Rs. 1,15,000 for the Plus, and Rs. 1,35,000 for the Pro (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

Vida V2 Design and looks

The design of the scooter is both stylish and functional, with a bold and contemporary aesthetic just like the company did with its first model Vida V1. Visually, the Vida V1 and V2 are identical apart from a few minor changes.

Each Vida V2 variant is designed with a robust suspension system and braking hardware, ensuring a smooth and secure ride.

The front suspension is handled by telescopic forks, while a mono-shock setup is used at the rear for better handling and stability.

The braking system features a front disc brake combined with a rear drum brake for reliable stopping power. Alloy wheels add to the scooter’s sporty appeal, contributing both to its aesthetics and its overall performance. 

Vida V2 Performance and Battery Options

The Vida V2 electric scooters come with varying power outputs and battery sizes across the three variants, making it important for customers to choose based on their performance preferences.

The base V2 Lite model is equipped with a 2.2 kWh battery, while the Plus and Pro variants feature 3.44 kWh and 3.94 kWh batteries, respectively. These batteries boast an IP67 rating, ensuring robust durability against dust and water.

They are also designed for convenience, allowing users to charge them at home and achieve 80% capacity in less than six hours.

These differences directly impact the scooters’ performance, including their top speed and range.

The Lite variant offers a top speed of 69 kmph, while the Plus reaches 85 kmph, and the Pro stands at a maximum speed of 90 kmph, making it the sportiest option of the three.

Vida V2 Specifications

The V2 Lite offers a claimed range of 64 km per charge, making it ideal for shorter commutes. On the other hand, the V2 Plus and V2 Pro offer significantly higher ranges, with the Plus delivering 143 km and the Pro pushing the limit to 165 km.

The larger battery options in the Plus and Pro also support removable units for added convenience.

The scooter is driven by a swingarm-mounted Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM), which delivers an impressive peak power output of 6 kW and 25 Nm of torque. This enables the VIDA V2 to accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in just 2.9 seconds, ensuring quick and responsive performance.

Modern Features Across Variants

All three variants of the Vida V2 come equipped with advanced features that ensure comfort and convenience for riders. The scooters feature a sleek LED headlamp, tail lamp, and turn signals for improved visibility.

A seven-inch TFT instrument console is standard across all variants, offering smartphone connectivity and navigation features for a modern riding experience. The V2 Pro variant offers four riding modes—Eco, Ride, Sport, and Custom. 

Additionally, the Vida V2 series comes with cruise control, keyless entry, follow-me-home lights, and regenerative braking, all designed to enhance the user experience while improving the scooter’s range and overall efficiency.
