Vespa is said to have been testing an electric scooter for the Indian market for quite some time now. The Elettrica, which is currently on sale in markets across the world, was showcased by the Italian bike maker at the Auto Expo 2020.
The electric Vespa attracted a lot of attention during the Auto Expo 2020, indicating that likely Vespa will consider launching it in India.

If the international-spec Elettrica serves as a basis, A 4kW electric motor and a lithium-ion battery pack power the Vespa Elettrica. At the wheel, the maximum torque is 200Nm. The Elettrica electric scooter has a range of 100 kilometers in Eco mode and 70 kilometers in Power mode per charge. Using a 220V socket, it takes 4 hours to fully charge.

The chassis is comparable to the petrol-powered version, with a trailing link front suspension and a single rear shock absorber. The Vespa Elettrica scooter is equipped with a 12-inch front and 11-inch rear alloy wheel, each with a 200mm disc and a 140mm drum. An all-LED lighting system, a TFT screen, and a Call/Message display with Vespa mobile app connectivity are among the other prominent features.
As previously stated, Vespa is exploring the launch of its first electric scooters in India. When it gets to the Indian market, expect it to cost approximately Rs 1 lakh. The Vespa Electric scooter is projected to be priced similarly to the Bajaj Chetak, Ather 450X, and TVS iQube.
