TVS IQube Electric Scooter
TVS has recently launched an updated and upgraded range of their electric scooter iQube which was recently released in 2020. TVS has released 3 variants of the iQube which are available in different colors. In this article, we will take a look at the base variant of this lineup and discuss its features.
Price
The on-road price of the base variant of this lineup is approximately RS 1,05,000 which might change depending on the state of residence.
Specifications
The TVS iQube base variant comes with a top speed of 78km/h. There are two modes available in this scooter. Economy, which offers a range of 100 km on a single charge and Power which provides a range of 75 km on a single charge. It can go from 0-40kmph in just 4.2 seconds. All this power comes from the 3.04 kWh battery which takes 4.5 hours to go from 0-80%.
Features
The front suspension is Telescopic and the rear is a Hydraulic twin-tube type. The braking system on the front wheel is Disc type while the rear wheel has the classic Drum type braking system. This variant is fitted with a 12.7cm TFT screen. Another feature worth noting is the parking assist feature which allows the scooter to go in reverse with just the push of a button. All the models come with a USB charger for mobile charging. Other features of the TVS iQube include Geo-fencing, Anti-theft alert, Live location status, Distance to Empty meter, side stand indicator, etc.
Design
There is no doubt that TVS is taking a futuristic approach and the TVS iQube has a modern touch to it. The headlights and indicators are placed on the body of the scooter rather than the conventional head position. The “sharp” design of this scooter provides a futuristic feeling. The TVS iQube S has a sleek tubular structure with a telescopic front suspension and an adjustable, hydraulic twin tube shock absorber rear suspension. The overall dimension that is its length, breadth, and height are 1805mm, 645mm, and 1140mm respectively. The ground clearance which is the amount of clear space between the lowest part of the vehicle’s frame and the ground is 157mm. The measurement from the lowest point of the vehicle’s seat to the ground is 770mm. Note that the wheelbase which is the distance between the front and rear axles of the vehicle is 1301mm.
Conclusion
Just at a price of Rs. 1,05,000 this is an electric scooter that is worth considering as all the features that you might expect from it are still present in it. Also, unlike other electric scooters the TVS iQube does not make any design sacrifices in order to appear slimmer or more futuristic. It still has the classic feel to it which is a dealbreaker for some people. All in all, buyers should consider this option if they are looking for an electric scooter.
